I’m watching on 2x. Do you really think I’m not sliding past the commercials?😂
@yvonnes74129 күн бұрын
Yes, it’s a superpower: On my linguist capability test (tests ability to recognize patterns and learn languages), I tested higher than ANYONE I knew (hundreds). Even my tester looked at me like I was some genius lol 😂 The test was very easy for me, and learning languages is also very easy. Also, I can have much more fun than other people. I can take on exciting life opportunities with eagerness and enjoyment. To an outside observer, my career path looks ridiculous. BUT I have zero regrets! I’ve had so many cool experiences and learned so much. Now I’ve just realized that I have ADHD, and looking back I can see how it has caused difficulties but also shaped every wonderful and fun thing in my life. Now, I can have more compassion and help myself through the difficulties. While I don’t plan on changing my love for life, adventure, the next big discovery! There are so many wonderful things in this world-too much for me to see and learn it all, but I might try to see and learn a lot. That’s just ME. 😂😂😂😂 Remember this life is only the blink of an eye…

Me too. Lol. Temu is the worst ever if you have adhd. Or the best. Depends on how you look at it i guess.

I just took you up on the challenge to sit still through the ad and I managed to remain completely still the entire time. It was really difficult especially with you moving your arms and hand about. I admit I didn't pay much attention to the add though mostly just staying still

I would love it if you could create an podcast and chat with Alok Kanojia (Dr.K) from healthygamergg.

Hey Amy, so good to see you again. We adored you on I kissed a girl! Hope it's not offensive but pretty early on in the show I recognised a fellow adhder. Must be that neurospicey radar😅.

Absolutely! I can spot my people a mile away. I can walk into a room and know exactly who is my people. I think my brain subconsciously recognizes the NON verbals as we have unique non verbals.

The difference between yourselves and common people with adhd is us common people missed the one chance we had in school and were then dumped on the scrap heap where as your lot get chance after chance until you do get it.

It feels like you've let the whole podcast award thing go to your head, Alex. The last thing ADHD needs is another Tik-Toker. I'm bailing and unsubscribing. I wish you well, but I can't be doing with it.

Far too many 'likes' spoken in every sentence and so I pressed sound off and switched to subtitles. Then I had to read the word 'like' far too many times and was totally turned off for this interview. Why, oh why do so many express themselves with the need to use the word 'like' unnecessarily in EVERY sentence. It's AWFUL to have to listen to- and read. It's, like, the interviewer should, like, perhaps, like, pull them up, like, on it, 'cos it, like, is like- erm, is oh- 'DISLIKED'?
@SpunkyyymunkyАй бұрын
I feel like using like is far better than shaming or belittling someone who is being vulnerable and brave by sharing their experience for others in a public setting❤
@joindorset42Ай бұрын
'Bringing to light' something which needs paying attention to is NOT shaming or belittling. If a 'comment/response' is not required/permitted, it can be deleted. No-one is forced to share their personal experiences publicly. People choose to do so voluntarily or for cash payment.
@N8trgirlАй бұрын
So like, like like like like like like, i mean like, like like...ugh. unlistenable

AGREED. Terrible and worse, permitted!

Seems like Peter Pan syndrome... everyone has the executive functioning of a five year old. There seems to be no 'Wendy's' in the world of the ADHD?
@Eccentric_VillainАй бұрын
“Peter Pan syndrome” is a pop psychology thing. Like “refrigerator parent”. It’s stigmatises us AuDHDers in the world. Both of those phrases still cut deep… My childlike tendencies (movies, drawing said movies and cartoons) have got me through some f**ked up situations, without resorting to other vices.
@leahaf808Ай бұрын
This is a dumb comment. People with all kinds of different challenges function as adults, even if they struggle with executive function. It’s like saying people with dyslexia can’t read - they obviously can, they just may need different tools and strategies to help them
