She has a voice like a 1940s jazz singer, I think. So rich, though. She was one of the best. A real talent loss to us and a personal loss to those who loved her.
@KindCountsDeb37733 жыл бұрын
glad you mentioned "personal" loss. A lot of remarks are about the talent, but she was a person and had loved ones who think of that First.

Prince once said that Amy's 'Love is a losing game' was one of the best songs he had ever heard. I concur. I can only listen to it when in the right mood. It is so deep and profound that it can easily bring me down. It's both beautiful and gut wrenchingly sad. She was a legend in the truest sense and yet I don't think, even now, we fully understand what the world had and lost. Her talent was off the scale.
@KindCountsDeb37733 жыл бұрын
she loved the past iconic jazz singers and Tony Bennet was a favorite. He said she was the best he'd ever worked with. That's saying a lot.

You can die from the damage, even if you're not addicted anymore, Karen Carpenter was a prime example her organs were too damaged, doctors are still like cavemen ,still don't know how to treat someone whose organs have shrunk, because of weight loss, it also affects all the muscles and also the bones, they could also have osteoporosis if they don't get enough calcium, they should have just been given weight gain drinks.

Amy Winehouse. Loved her. What a voice. Sadly died at 27. Was anti drugs and then met Blake a druggie. And that young lady fell in love deeply and Blake left her to go back to a previous love hence (Back to Black meaning Depression) and not only did he break her heart BUT she also got hooked on drugs. Look at her skinny tiny little thing. He went back and forth to her and she wrote songs about her pain. Rest in Peace Amy you truly are missed. To this day l still want to swoop you up in my arms and say NO MORE PAIN! Amazing voice!

What a simply awesome singer she was. Really, who could argue that she even came close to her talent top end limit? The sweet guitar player here is from her outstanding band. I hope they all landed on their feet in recent years and that we hear from them again as they were strong enough to complement any major talent in similar genres. Maybe even as headliners if there are enough like minded people with me.
