At the time Amy was at her height, I ignored her and her music (too wrapped up in my own favourites). Now, years later, I realise how good a singer she was. Died much too young. R.I.P.

@@ginastarr1843what's the point of your addict comment? "But she was an addict. . " "But", what? So her being an addict somehow cancels out everything this original poster said? We all know she was an addict. So what is the ultimate point of your comment? You make ZERO SENSE. . . ZERO. . . Too many people in this world make comments when when they should just keep their eyes and ears open.

I remember hearing her voice for the first time on an airplane music list. I had my headphones in, and instantly Valerie came on, and I said "Who is this!?" and the song ended the man's voice said "That was, Amy Winehouse with Valerie" and I was in love with her voice. What made Amy so special was, you ask yourself, who sang like that in this generation? She was a modern woman, who pulled the soul sound from another era and reinvented it. Thank you Grimmlife. Love all your videos. Professor M. 🎩

She is definitely an icon that will live on forever. Because of her , the people have Adele today. Her documentary is amazing as well as heartbreaking because you literally get to watch her go from a beautiful healthy young woman, to a frail thin frightened shell of what she once was. Its really sad how people would go on with their business around her like nothing is wrong. This video is really great. Another masterpiece from Grimm Life. What blew my mind was the headstone. For some reason I always thought it was quite large, yet seeing Jessica next to it, I was shocked to see that it is of normal size. Again amazing job. Thank you guys. This European journey has been amazing , this is some of your best stuff yet. I know Michael, you guys can't go home without visiting Paris and going to Jim Morrisons grave. 🙏🙏

She was so young then, no tattoos as she get older you could see she was struggling with the world and she definitely needed help one of her last concerts her fans helped her with the lyrics she had it rough and you could she her dying on the stage..so sad, a broken soul. she realy had so much talent. As a musician myzelf i can tell you she realy had a great voice and jazz isnt a easy style of music but she nealed it and she will never be forgotten. I wasn't a fan of her music, but I did see her documentary and I can appreciate her talent, her ability to write and play her own music, her attitude and her personal struggles that turned her to alcohol. She was a force, that's for sure, and the way she went was very tragic and all too familiar for artists. I hope wherever she is, she has peace and comes back someday to share her talents again. ( I think reincarnation is very plausible, so I do think she will come back to this plain, if she desires.) Thank you for this video, it was informative and it's lovely to see the how those around her remember her. 🖤💜💋🌹⚘🍒

I never listened to any of Amy's music i was attracted to how beautiful she looked and i was shocked when she passed away. Michael you and Baby Ghoul always do great when you visit any site like respecting sites where you can't get close access and respecting trepassing areas. BTW please be careful cause in the old cemetery(5:47) both of you are in lots of posion oak/ivy and i would hate if either of you got bad reactions from it(i am allergic to some of it-few years back i accidently got some near my eye and my eye was swelled shut for a few days). So please take precautions and have your clothes cleaned real good and clean anything you touched so you don't have any reactions. Love your videos and commentary as always guys!

Amy was unique, and one of the first in her generation to collaborate her vocal talents with several other musicians of different eras and genres including Tony Bennett, Mick Jagger, Prince, Paul Weller, Mark Ronson, Nas, and others. Amy’s duets made her popular with audiences who weren’t familiar with her music, and so it almost became a trend among other artists just looking to cash in on the fad!! A great video by the way… though it’s a bummer about the “Fallen Angel”… a sad metaphor perhaps?? That old cemetery is rotting in ivy and probably needs frequent trimming to keep from disappearing altogether!!

Another great, and very moving video, Michael and Jessica! Amy was such a massive, and wonderful talent, gone far too soon. If you're still in London, I'd highly recommend visiting Amy's former home at 25 Prowse Place, Camden Town (off Kentish Town Road). She lived in that lovely little mews house, on a cobbled street, in the early 2000's, while B2B was selling millions around the world. Also well worth visiting, are her beloved favourite pubs in Camden, The Hawley Arms, The Dublin Castle, and The Good Mixer. They all have lovely tributes to her, inc signed pics x

(Perhaps in her next life, she will be named Temperance...) 11:57 The overgrowth of vines and foliage deepens the funerary mood 13:04 Michael's unerring eye, insures that we are able to see the before and after of the 'heart' gravesite. It's exactly what we want to see, and the Grimms take us there, yet again. 🤲🏻🤲🏻 14:53 Before 15:00 After

My wife were in Mango, Italy - about an hour north of Genoa - in a grocery store. On the Muzak they were playing Amy Winehouse and it felt a bit out of place even though I’m a fan. I asked my wife, “Italians are Amy Winehouse fans?” But whenever I hear a song of hers I always think of that vacation. (We rented a house overlooking the valley and then spent one night in Barolo. I highly recommend it there. The wines are fantastic. Ciao.)

You guys are incredible. Thank you both for showing our country in such a respectful, positive way. We are still here. I knew a serious sound engineer, known in his business as Dribble. His nickname. He worked with Amy. He told me that she sadly was so off her face during rehearsals . That her crew sort of learned a form of sign/ body language from her in order to action. They learned to understand a nod to the left meant this, a nod to right meant that. Coupled with arm gestures etc. you get what I’m saying. But this poor strung out poor young lady would on Que turn into Amy doing her thing live on stage and knock it out of the ballpark .That’s kind of impressive and sadly unimpressive to me. Sleep well young Amy x

As you know, the UK has a gruesome history, not just in film or entertainment, but actual historical facts and legends… From Jack the Ripper, to Stonehenge, Avebury, and Tower Hill. There’s a few relics where “witches” were drowned in “dunking stools” (a medieval confessional). My favourite of all these places are the weathered ruins of a former Abbey in Reculver (between Margate and Whitstable). It’s believed the howling winds coming off the steep cliffs below the ruins are the crying souls of babies born there, as the nuns would toss every priest’s illegitimate child into the sea from above the steep rocky cliffs!!

Beautiful tribute. Such a sad loss and at a young age. She had a massive career in front of her despite the success she had whilst she was still with us. R.I.P Amy and thank you. Lots of love.

She was loved not only in States and England, but also in other parts of the world, in Poland a lot too. I remember rhe day she passed away, we were at Castle Party Dark Independent Music Festival in Bolkow when we heard the news and one friend of mine cried half of the day becouse of her death.

Thank you so much for this! Huge Amy fan here and every summer my husband and I visit her grave. We also went to Abney Park which is so beautiful and I'm so happy they are renovating the church! It was abandoned and boarded up back in 2019.

Glad you loved our Amy as much as we did. Fabulous respectful video. You 2 are the best!! What was also tragic, apart from her death, was how her Dad Mitch milked her death to squeeze as much money out of every available source for himself. If he truly loved Amy as he 'claimed' he would not have done what he did, or got all the well deserved shite that then came his way! He showed no 'real' respect for his own daughter. Damn Mitch to hell, and RIP dear Amy! Who is finally Back to Black! 🖤💀🖤☠🖤💀🖤☠🖤💀🖤☠🖤

What a beautiful tribute you made for her. Nice video! When i first heard her song Back to Black, i felt in love. I got it in my Playlist. And till today people in my state, here in Germany, playing her songs. The music industry lost a great artist. RIP beautiful Soul 🌹 Thank you both so much!
