She was sooo beautiful in 2004-2005 and just 5 years later she looked unrecognizable. So tragic but she use to have this sparkle in her eye almost like her soul was glowing. Around 2009 she no longer had that look. She looked empty and defeated, never happy anymore she just looked numb. Damm.

Love her so much. Her music was so different for her era, and wow did she have talent. She always struck me as such a sweet soul, too. My brother ran into her in a pub in Camden, drank with her and said she was one of the loveliest people he's ever met...kind, funny, modest, vulnerable, charismatic. She was a sweetheart...and a hugely talented one. We love you forever, Amy. Xxx

she was already an ICON when she said that. She just never realized her sound was truly one of a kind. And after hearing Prince tell his story about his encounter with her, (he was a big Amy fan) he offered to get her away from Blake by plane bus or yardstick, just get him out of her life before she dies. We know how that ended. On both actually. He was no longer a pain addicted overdoser, then she was sober. No one killed Amy but Amy. Sadly.

She is the most relatable, vulnerable and realest artist we had. Even when she was very famous she always hugged fans. Hollywood or the fame never changed her. People relate to her because she was real. She wasn't perfect and she didn't have a fake image. She wore her heart on her sleeve. She was never a diva. And it's crazy considering she had the BEST voice of our generation alongside Whitney Houston. Her cover of Donny Hathaways "We're just friends" gives chills to my body.

She is such a strange mixture because on one hand she was so confident and sure of herself, took no shit and knew herself and yet...she ended up where she did,she is such a massive contradiction which I know many of us are,we can be strong and weak or vulnerable but she seemed as she said to have her head screwed on more than most and so wise and yet she seemed to just unravel in certain situations and her self doubt or need for love took over.
