There is a family in my area that live on top of a huge hill and their oldest son was dating a girl (now his wife) who LOVES Christmas lights so he strung up the lights to read her name and "Will You Marry Me" you could see it from miles and miles away, it made the papers and she did say yes. He did this in the middle of 100 degree summer in Arkansas. That was dedication.

She and her husband have 1 daughter of their own, 1 adopted daughter and 3 fosters right now..well, ALL 7 of them have COVID 😢 and my daughter is in the hospital w/COVID pneumonia right now..Despite how bad things look and how lost i feel, our Heavenly Father is on the throne and I know He has got this! I use a laptop as well, Amy, and it's on one of those laptop stands that elevates the screen. It's plastic, doesn't cost that much and is awesome. And a good chair (which you've got now) and a foot rest (Ikea does a great one) help loads. You wouldn't believe how much difference that little foot rest makes, even for the neck, as it helps overall posture.

definitely save your bacon grease. I keep mine in the fridge but I know a lot of people keep theirs on the kitchen counter. my granddaughter loves to make grilled cheese sandwiches and uses bacon grease instead of butter to cook hers. I use it sometimes when frying or scrambling eggs and love to use it to sauté green beans. yum yum

Thanksgiving- We invited some family over and now we are concerned about the Covid warnings. We will make way too much food as always and freeze some later if needed. We can always make Turkey care packages for those who don't come and do a zero contact delivery. All of the classic fixins. We make the fresh cranberry with orange zest and juice (on package). Lemon pies and Pumpkin pies. 2020 is rough.

I love how helpful the kids were in getting the Fall decorations gathered. Christmas is such an exciting time, especially for little ones. I was telling my husband about the taste test and our grown kids heard me and they suggested a similar thing for us to do either Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve with different treats - everyone will choose two different things that none of us would normally choose and see if we like any of them. See you are even inspiring those not actually watching 😊 I am still praying for your neck/shoulder. I am thankful you are getting some relief. I have torn both rotator cuffs and getting through that has been a journey. Thank you for reminding us that even when we don’t realize it, GOD is taking care of us, watching out for us and making a way where there is no way but through HIM. I use to have such a burn in my right shoulder upper neck from the exact same thing...being on my computer 6 hrs a day for work ...I did exactly what you did, voltrin rub, and raised up my keyboard and monitor I suffered for about a year.... It would get a bit " better" or I would just get use to it! Looking down at my keyboard and monitor was auful! Glad you got it sorted!!

I have an awesome can opener from Walmart a Kuhn Rikon. Its the type where you can put the top back on the can. Maybe its a southern or island thing but we save the bacon fat/grease in the fridge to cook other meals that require oil, gives it an extra kick of flavor. Grits are delicious especially with kerry gold butter.....cheese too but i have a sensitivity to cheese.

I love those zip lock bags the shampoo and stuff come in cause they're usually bigger than normal. Actually I love all types of ziplock bags and save all of them lol. I save them for non-food items.

I freeze a variety of leftover breads, too, for stuffing. Then I will line a cookie sheet or just place directly on your over racks with foil. 300' and slightly brown the bread. Then when cooler, crush or break them into cubes. I think its makes for a better stuffing - less mushy. Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving...

I too freezer prep for two! We have to eat a very low sodium, low fat, low cholesterol, ect. diet so most everything has to be made from scratch. So nice to not have to cook every night.

Cooking bacon in it's own fat is a French technique called confit. It's usually done with duck, but anything slowly cooked in fat is being confit. I love cooking bacon like this. In the beginning bacon gives off it's fat I then just throw it all in the pool and turn down the heat.

I have no idea how you do it all!! You always encourage me that I too can do better and accomplish more. All I have to do is start somewhere. This week has felt like a very busy week for me as well. I have done nothing but run all over this week so the house has totally gotten away from me, (not dirty just not organized lol) but thats ok! I've decided I'll get back into my routine tomorrow and take this day to rest. Sometimes I forget selfcare is just as important!

Lots of things our Grandkids picked are ,out of stock. I have spent days on 3 stores trying to compare and find things for 9 kids n 3 grown kids. Trying to find a few foods also has been hard. I've been trying to get ,Nut Thins, found then ,but $15 for 3 boxes ,variety pack. Painting fireplace ,trying to get done and put mantle up ,I hope by Christmas. 1950s house and needs so much done ,hard to afford and do with 10 here.

Good morning. The meat prep, I am sure helps put meals together faster. Thanksgiving is going to be much smaller this year with myself & daughter instead of extended family as well. I am making all the food we would have if we were all together. Turkey breast, 2 types of stuffing (I make a similar bread stuffing and a potato based one) potatoes, lots of veg & rolls, banana cream pie for my daughter. You have a fantastic day & weekend. I freeze my bacon grease so when I cook my favorite recipes that I use bacon grease for I use it then. Also good for bacon vinegarette

I work at a desk everyday too and what helped me was putting my foot on a stool...sounds crazy but it aligned my back which in turn helped my neck!!! 🤯 Glad your shoulder is better!!! Neck rubs from hubbies are awesome..aren't they?? 😉

Lay your can opener on top of can so it cuts around the side of lid. Not hold on side so it cuts inside of lid and falls into can. No cutting hands or fingers if you cut on side!
