Thank you for sharing.You sound like a nice neighbor.The apt. is clean,neat & tasteful.I like the balcony,grey cozy chairs,drying rack,desk,etc. I like finding discarded items,also.I see it as a good thing.Folks throw out very good items.Some folks collect those items,clean & repair them,then sell them.

The apartment size is fairly big and it seems to be newer. 3 living there can be challenging but for this place , it's probably worth the rent and compromising

I bought a vintage vanity recently that was missing a mirror. I just Google’d mirror/glass installation in my area and was fortunate to find a place literally down the road that cut a custom mirror to fit the vanity. I’m sure there are similar businesses in DC…I thought it might be way more expensive than it was, but it ended up being under $50. Good luck!

I'm so glad someone else noticed the bait and switch with so-call DC apartment tours here on KZbin. 9.5 times out of 10 they're in Virginia or Maryland. I've lived in DC for five years, so I know where everything is and what everything looks like in this city. It's gotten so bad that the first thing i do when watching someone purporting to live in DC on KZbin is look out the window of the unit/home they're showing to verify if they're actually in the city or not. I can tell just by looking out their window if they're in the city or not. Some will be upfront and admit they live in another state others will deceptively reiterate that they live in the "DC area". To the untrained viewer this may fly, but not with me. LOL.

i had an offer from my internship before i left for the summer. i think it depends on industry, for me 1-2 months out is fine but for more business/finance jobs they hire much further out!

cupkakee7 I’m a criminal justice grad so hopefully I can help! I’d recommend between 9-12 months prior to graduation. Depending on what you’re applying for and if it’s state or federal the interview and background check can be very time consuming!

gentrification is a HUGE problem in dc like most cities, im very aware of that and do my best to be educated/make good decisions about where i am living and how that impacts my community. unfortunately, no one is searching for gentrified apartment tours and this is a job for me

Amy I’m sorry your space is an absolute waste I live in NE dc right on H street and pay $1500 for a two bedroom there is no way I would pay that much to share a bathroom and every other space!
