I've really enjoyed your last two apartments but this one has to be my favorite! It has so much more character than the others - I love the floors and the fireplace. And honestly, the darker bedroom might work to your advantage to sleep. I try to spend only my sleeping hours in my bedroom to the point where I don't even have a lamp in there! So much better for my mental health to spend waking hours in my living space, and sleeping hours in my bedroom.

Love your new apartment! I was shaking my head NO to garbage in the dining area. Super inconvenient. I think downsizing to one under the kitchen sink is the way to go. Maybe you can put the current ones in a closet for recycling and non-stinky garbage (paper, etc.). Love this new space!

I would just put up some window treatments to soften the living room space a little bit, also I would switch out the coffee table to something a little more classic, right now the black one feels a little to modern for the space.

I don't think the trash cans look bad right there; however, I think you should turn them back to back, flush against the wall, and it would give more walking room. Maybe put the trash one facing your kitchen entrance, and the recycle one facing the living room.

If you’re wanting to add some color to the living and bedroom/bathrooms, I like to have neutral colored large items with colored/patterned/textured accessories. Aka throw blankets, pillows, shower curtains, duvet cover, etc. Also, I notice you gravitate towards a lot of grays and blues, but if you’re wanting to add some “warmth” to your space, I would be reaching for warm toned items, such as browns, mustard, burnt orange, red, etc.

@@amyrauch don't be afraid to use it just because you've never used one before. Just ask your landlord if the chimney has been cleaned and if you could use it. It would be great now that it's winter time. I saw you had a fireplace screen once you get a fire started just make sure the screen is in front of it to protect you from flying Sparks. There's nothing like sitting in front of a fireplace.

they disassembled and reassembled mine! i think it just gets factored into your hourly time - if you fill out the form they should reach out and you can ask questions :)

I know this is kind of an older video so you may have already realized but be careful putting your couch so close to the heater. It should be at least 1 foot off the wall. Best case scenario it will block the heat from getting to the rest of your apartment and your heating costs will go through the roof. Worst case scenario it could catch your couch on fire. (Not trying to freak you out, just looking out!)
