Life is about making the best of what you have rather than bemoaning what you don't have. The two of you seem to be doing a good job of it. Goats will eat just about anything they can get so I'm sure you make sure they can't get at anything you want for yourselves. They certainly seem content with life you are giving them.

That campfire dinner looked so delicious! :) Loved seeing Happy being so comfortable and at home with Julia. Julia really does have a way with the animals. A few videos ago, you asked what brings hope... I think your family's abundant life using resources efficiently and regeneratively definitely gives me hope. I am so proud of you to what you have done with the forest where you live and the fruit that you get off those trees that the people who planted them for you in the family. And I like the video that you put out this week of rebuilding your dad 's place to live in and I just saw the part in the video of your dad's window that you're putting in The loft. I used to do my treatments beside a Blue Quandong tree at the Arts factory backpackers in Byron. When the Gyoto Tibetan monks came to town, they were delighted at this tree. I spent hours scraping off the fruit to give them the seeds to make into mala beads. The seed looks like a brain with 2 hemispheres. Very sacred tree. The fruit flesh is thin, more seed than fruit flesh, edible though bitter. High in vitamin c, vitamin E, folate, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The seed is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. It’s a good‘un! ❤️

Quandong can be eaten. The grow on our Central Queensland property. Not very nice when you eat them just fallen but if they sit to almost off they seem to sweeten up. I think you can make a sort of preserve with them but haven’t tried it. The original Australians used them for medicine according to my elder friend.
