Much of this video is about LeBron’s streak of 10 point consecutive games, but the reason this statistic isn’t really worth praising is similar to the reasons most of his stats aren’t worth celebrating. Angry Old Hoops breaks it down using an academic analogy.
As an aging basketball player myself, I can better appreciate how taking some games off can boost your performance when you come back. This actually makes me respect Michael Jordan’s 82 game seasons even more as well as the records he set while playing 82 game seasons. The flipside of that is seeing how LeBron milks load management to reduce the chances of having bad nights.
You really need to appreciate the meaning of the word consecutive and how when combined with load management reduces the overall value of the achievements.
Only showing up for tests when you feel ready to take them rather than taking the tests when they are given, ready or not.
LeBron doesn’t have a true 10 point streak record if you count the playoffs…and why wouldn’t you count the playoffs? Oh, because of LeBron’s poor performances in the playoffs, so let’s just throw those test scores out and grade him on whatever favors him.

05:10 Why aren't we talking about 20 point game streaks?
07:22 Michael Jordan went on his scoring streaks while winning defensive player of the year and playing all 82 games, which he did 9 times.
10:25 ESPN conveniently left out the detail that they were only looking at regular season games on their infographic. 1. That's misleading. 2. Why would you leave out the playoffs?
13:05 As a role player myself, I still know that I can get points as a role player when my teammates are better than me. It makes life on the court easier for me and opens up opportunities for me. This is how LeBron is racking up his statistics. You would never same I'm the greatest player on my team despite my contribution, so why would you say LeBron is?
