@michaelcherokee89066 ай бұрын
Well yes there is a correlation between being female and being PHYSICALLY weaker, due to the lack of testosterone advantage, but the idea of finding that a source of shame has always struck me as just absurd. I mean, really, it makes as much sense as racism. And women have a different set of strengths that men couldnt HOPE to match. Also for another thing, do you realize how insanely powerful a woman can be? I mean socially. The sheer clout that some women who so happen to possess a combination of charisma and physical beauty can wield is sometimes mindboggling. Some women have virtually owned the souls of some men throughout history, sometimes very powerful men like Kings and Emperors and Presidents. But it's a quiet, subtle, nearly invisible sort of power. It's frightening sometimes to see the scale of power women can wield, it borders on magical. Men can only disregard and disrespect women at their own peril.

She is such a wonderful rarity. I love where she's coming from and I love where she's going. The important thing is, she seems to love it too. I wish I was young enough to watch her podcast but if I was that young again, I probably wouldn't have time to watch podcasts anyway.

What an intelligent young lady. How refreshing to hear someone young that has such wisdom. And discipline. And Jordan Peterson seems to always ask all the right questions to make an interesting interview and you can tell that he is sincerely interested in the person he’s speaking with or listening to.

I enjoy listening to her and her you tube channel even though I don’t always agree with her opinion. She is articulate, well-spoken, and a critical thinker. She strikes me as someone who trusts her own opinion and isn’t easily swayed. Quite remarkable for someone so young.

I’m also 22 like Brett, but I had a rough upbringing and didn’t have many opportunities to pursue my interests…. Brett is inspiring me to get control over my life and feel more comfortable in my femininity. I can’t thank her enough for the influence she has over me ❤ I had absolutely zero good female influence in my life and you are helping me so much 😊

Very little irritates me more than an English teacher who gives you a bad grade because they disagree with your take. If you can write your paper and back it up with proof from the book, whether she agrees with your take or not not the point. I was also a conservative english major. Ugh
@Debbie33605 ай бұрын
When we were in college, my hubby took an art history class. For the final he had to go to see several specific exhibits across several museums & write a paper on the exhibits. We went to the museums over a few weekends, he bought books on the exhibit & postcards to remember specific pieces. He wrote it, I typed it & the teacher gave him a C because no non-art major could have the insight & depth of understanding. Therefore he must have cheated & had someone write the paper for him.
@redharlow765 ай бұрын
I’ve been there. As an English Major and a writer, I gave myself 3 rules for writing: 1, know your characters (applies mostly to creative writing). 2, know your ending. And 3, know your audience. I used rule 3 pretty often in college, and would write the most BS paper for those professors. Often times, I didn’t believe a word I was saying, but often times, I would recieve a high score, because they don’t care about your critical thinking, they care about being validated in their perspective.

@redharlow76 I got straight A's through university by simply writing what my professors wanted to hear, being sure to use the specific verbiage they used in the lectures. I've learned far more valuable information since graduating than I ever did in school maintaining a 4.0 gpa 🤦♂️

I sure appreciated this video … what a breath of fresh air. And it isn’t because I share her more conservative values. But to see a young woman feeling empowered; full of life and vitality; willing to take risks; who knows what she wants and is willing to have it; and who isn’t screaming oppression or victimhood is wonderful and glorious.

Yeaaaah, but that's still lowest common denominator. I wish he'd interview a conservative woman who's a little more "smart" rather than just "fun".

Absolutely fantastic! He could have been patronizing, being the older of the two, but he treated her with the respect and reverence he shows to all his guests. I had only been familiar with her “silly” side from watching The Comment Section, so it was nice to see the poised, well-spoken, intelligent side of Brett.

When I went for my Bachelors (I already had an AS) UNM was advertising itself as the “late afternoon and evening” center. Late afternoon was 3:00 pm. I asked my professor why it was impossible to get an evening degree. He told me that professors hated teaching in the evening. An 18 year old is impressed by a 28 year old professor and will believe almost anything he says. In the evening, the students are likely to be 30, are not impressed by the professor, and know nonsense when he hears it.

As a 36-year-old woman, I don't watch a lot of Brett's stuff (I catch a lot of clips), but having grown up in the earliest days of the Internet (we got AOL in my house when Steve Case was offering CDs to be sent to your house on TV commercials. I was around 7), I see so much value in what she's doing for young women. Her story is especially speaking to me as my eight-year-old prepares to begin competitive gymnastics. Going to have to keep a reminder of Brett's mom with me as our family navigates this! Thank you for this interview (the full version of which I've only just begun watching; I saw a longer clip first).
