@ brgdefense822... I was looking for one of these online but in FDE. I went on your company website and I clicked on a link I think it was for just under a $230 MSRP, once I actually dropped to the link it was over $380 🤔. So I sent an email and one of your service Representatives got back to me very helpful and actually provided me with the link and I end up picking one up from battlehawk Armory for $249.00. I have owned many pistols and I'm actually an owner Springfield Armory XD9 first generation, have been for over 20 years. I mean this honestly when I say I have not been this excited about acquiring a new firearm since I got my XD 20 years ago. If the quality and performance is anything like your customer service this is going to be a big time winner... that was a great indicator just enhance the excitement and anticipation.

I picked up three XD9 mags from Joe Bob's Outfitters for 10 each, deal! They lock in place, slide holds back on the empty mag, and they drop free like butter. Have not used them yet, but I think they will work just fine!

Nice presentation I hadn't heard of it and saw one in a pawn shop. Used, obviously, but not much. Went over everything on it and walked out with it with everything from the factory for a buck seventy-five. I ran 1k of Belom NATO 124gr through it without a single failure. I ordered two more for SHTF or similar issues. I ran 500 rounds of 115 and 124 Blazer Brass as well as some 115 AmmoTech through each of them. Still not one failure of any kind. I mean, the trigger gets better with use, but it's not perfect. But at the coin it costs, it stomps things twice the cost. As you said, almost all arms are mechanically accurate; it's almost always the user or poor munitions Wonderful piece to stick in the truck or carry on the tractor. And I love grip safeties. I grew up on 1911s, so it's perfect. You don't really want one to discharge if you don't have a grip on it anyway, Sig.

Thanks. I considered re-filming it after practicing a little, but didn't think that was honest for an initial review. Those really were my first shots, and like it or not, that was my grouping. But the gun itself, while not a track driver, is functionally accurate. Like with any gun, my groups get tighter the more I shoot it.

Very good review, I love my BRG9! But I wish to point out, the steel in the BRG9 is 4340, not the "standard" 4140 used in most guns. 4340 is harder than 4140, more corrosion resistant, due to the inclusion of nickel in it, whereas 4140 does not have nickel in it. From a steel manufacturing website: "However, in some heavy machinery parts or under extreme conditions that require higher strength and toughness, 4340 steel is often used. At this time, the advantage of 4340 steel is that 4140 steel cannot be replaced." I mean seriously, to get a higher quality, tougher steel than in most guns, for the price point of the BRG... not even to mention it's dependability and accuracy.... is simply amazing!!! Btw, 4340 steel is more expensive to make than 4140, go figure!!!

I caught you saying you own "one or two" Turkish guns... man, those are rookie numbers, lol! Here are mine: Canik TP9 SA... Canik TP9 V2... Canik TP9 SFX... Canik SFX Rival Darkside... Canik Mete MC9... Canik Mete SFT Miami Nights... Sarsilmaz CM9 Gen 2.... Sar B6C... Girsan MC312 12 gauge shotgun.. Tristar T100 (made by Canik)... and of course, my BRG9 Elite. Honestly. I may have missed one or two in that list, but you do see how I love Turkish guns!!
@BellowsBlades
@BellowsBlades Жыл бұрын
Well, I'm not overly fond of broadcasting my personal arsenal list, so "one or two" covers it generally speaking. However, I can confidently say your Turkish gun list exceeds mine. And you're probably pretty pleased with each one you listed. I really don't get the hate some people have for these guns. Mine all perform well above their price point.

I had the same concern about the over-sized slide release. If that's a problem you can modify that, just reduce the size. I suspect a Springfield Armory XD 9 release might drop right in.. inquiring minds want to know 🤔.

Because this will just be an occasional range gun for me, I'm not worried about it enough to seek out a solution. But you raise an interesting question regarding interchangeability of XD 9 parts.

@@brgdefenceThank you for the confirmation it's greatly appreciated. I just picked mine up from my FFL yesterday. Man do you guys dip this thing in oil, it was loaded with oil. In fact, there was so much oil in it. At first, my firing pin safety block button would not even pop-up and block the firing pin. After much of wiping and working the firing pin block button I Finally got it to function and move up-and-down freely. And now it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I almost thought I was going to have to send it in for warranty repair. I had to take it on a solid surface with some carpet and tap the slide bottom side down until the button popped out. Then I worked the striker back-and-forth and cleaned. All the excess oil out of the channels, seems to be perfectly fine now. Two things that I am disappointed in. First one is the barrel hood already had some of the finished worn off of it. Almost looks like it was used but I know it's not, It's a brand new pistol. The second thing is, the magazines don't seem to be of the highest quality.. I happen to be an owner of an XF9 of over twenty years and I use some of my magazines in it and I have to say the original XD magazines are of much better quality. Not only did all of my XD magazines work in the pistol, but all of my holsters as well. My BGR9 fit in the XD holsters like it was made for it. I have really high hopes for this pistol it looks like it's a winner. Reminds me of the HS2000 over twenty years ago.

@BellowsBlades
@BellowsBlades 6 ай бұрын
That's interesting. With my moderate skill level, I generally assume low left is my fault and not the gun. It is probably the most common shooter error and is easy to do even for fairly experienced shooters. But if there is a trend across multiple shooters, that could point to an issue with the gun.

@@horiturk333 yes. The roll pin prevents the striker pin from going fully forward. If the pin breaks nothing stops the pin from freely moving forward and backwars potentially causing misfires or no firing at all when you want it to. The pin just moves freely. It happend to both my XD and XDm
