An AMAZING Guitar For The Price: Ibanez SA260FM Review & Demo

I have a 2009 Blackberry Sunburst SA260FM which I tweaked to get the sound I wanted. I wasn't keen on the echo which came from the bridge pickup so I set the pickup in wax on a low temperature, let it cool down and set overnight, wrapped the sides of the True Duo Pickup in correctly size cut gaffe tape and reinstalled the pickup. This reduced the amount of echo from the Bridge position and gave me the sound I needed and love. I did not set the single pickups in wax as they give me a close Fenderish sound I like. The end result is a very versatile guitar which is now a keeper.

I got one 2007 SA260FM indonesian made for USD150, I upgraded neck to SH-1n and bridge to SH-4 SD PUs. Sounds great and im glad i bought one.

I have the same guitar MY2009, have put two Ibanez Usa C3 in the singles and a Ibanez Usa F2 in the bridge. Ibanez Usa are Di Marzios specifically made in the 90´s for the high end Ibanez guitars. A hell of a guitar with that combination, easy, slick, versatil, powerful, fun and, last but not least, lightweight. Lots of sounds can be extracted from her, since Clapton to Knoppfler, passing thru Summers and Gilmour. A lot of guitar for the price.

Hi I have one and the tuning keys are a nightmare. I cant even play a song without loosing tune. one bend, and its off. i should be changing them all. other than that, its a very beautiful guitar in my opinion.

Thanks for the nice video. Got exactly this model and have problems with intonating the low E. Feels like no change at all after adjustment. All other strings got intonated pretty easy. Any suggestions?

Make a substantial adjustment on the low e saddle (either backwards or forward) first and see where that gets you. Once you have a difference mark, you can fine tune it down to where you want. Remember how hard you are fingering the 12th fret when checking intonation makes a big difference
