Interesting bit: In Latin America as well as many parts of Asia, these NES clones were quite popular as they cost about 50% cheaper than an original NES, so most people preferred to buy these as opposed to an original NES. There were also pirate cartridges dubbed "japanese" cartridges because they looked like Famicon cartridges. They were 40%-60% cheaper than an original NES game cartridge and most times included various popular games, making them also quite popular. These pirate cartridges usually contained various popular games in one cartridge such as Super Mario Brothers, Contra, Donkey Kong, Duck Hunt, Circus Charlie, Excitebike, Adventure Island, Dig Dug, Bubble Bobble, 1942, Galaga, Galaxian and the such. The fact that these clone NES were also compatible with original Nintendo cartridges and accessories made them the choice for many. How do I know? I lived in Latin America during the heyday of the original NES. Hope this is helpful.

The most exciting part is disassembling the machine and looking at the pcb motherboard. I hope to continue this habit. Thanks

i have the same console, with built in games like contra...and you can use original nes games, and wen you open the console they have a cartridge like the famicom games that you can exchange with a real famicom games, check yours on the botom of the mother board they have other slot.

From what I've read about this console, it uses chips that are clones of the actual chips in the NES and that you can swap in actual NES chips and it will work. Amazing that this exists :) Thank you again for another great video! Cheers!

Interesting, I guess it was made in the day's before emulation was possible.

I have this hardware clone. It has a famicom connector underneath the mothetboard. Switch the console on without a cart to start the built in games. I added a 500 in 1 famicom cart in mine and removed the installed one.

It's crazy how varied the graphics were for NES. Some games look a little better than Atari and others almost look SNES quality with less colors. 😄👍

The NASA!🙉 I remember seeing this for sale at RVA videoclub in Cayey, Puerto Rico. They brought over a lot of imported things like the NASA, VHS from Venezuela, Brazilian candies, etc. At that time I was bearly able to buy a NES. If I was able to get one today I'd buy it. Definitely worth it. Good review and cool video Wicked!👍

My first console! But those controllers... Weird. Here on Spain Nasa and Ninpondo where the most usual NES clones Edit: the BEST part is that isnt a NesonaChip, like some modern ones. Is sturdy and durable. Also instead those génesis pads, mine comes with a multicart that shows a mouse with musketeer clothes XD The female robot was a classic here XD

The console's build quality appears to be on a very good level (except for that hot glue dump). On the other hand, controllers are complete joke.

@poboxchristmas380Ай бұрын
the controllers and controller ports were clearly swapped on this particular system from the original release. There's one on ebay right now and there's pics of the box contents and the system opened. You can see it has the original controllers shown on the box art and the ports aren't drowned in glue residue. Also, it should've had a multi-cart in the box. Somebody clearly did some tinkering on it.

Yeah, the other variations have different shaped controllers, the one I got "which is broken but I will try to get it fixed" had saturn looking controllers.

@@cutemimi25 i took mine out of storage, and the eject button is on the back, also the A/V cables are named, sadly i noticed the flap and the reset button are broken and that is sad, must be during a move, will try to fix them but the machine still works fine.

I actuarly have 3 of those consoles. 2 under the YES brand and one NASA. One of the YES consoles also have 300 built in games! The 300 games is a famicom cartridge on the underside of the motherboard. A 100% nes clone down to every chip. Well buildt and no "noac", or "nintendo on a chip".
@Mohammed1000realАй бұрын
For real though, this is actually one of the best Famiclones since it's actually compatible with the Original controllers. You could even mod it to RGB and have a Famicom Disk System support.

This is a Taiwanese ntsc clone from around 1991. It is imo the best clone ever. I would go as far as say that it is better than the original nes “toaster” (ok I might gone to far on that statement :p) It is compatible with original nes controllers and cartridges. And it works well with Everdrives. As a funny fact, it has under the motherboard a famicom cartridge slot and they usually where sold with a nice “multi game” cartridge plugged in, so if you where to power the unit on without any nes cart, it would “boot” from the built in cartridge. Under the hood it has premium chips (Toshiba, Goldstar, and so on), and both socketed nes compatible cpu and ppu units. It is smaller that the nes toaster, and it feels really “solid”. I have mine, still from 1991, and other than an occasionally cleaning, it has never needed any real maintenance. Still in 2024 is the console I play the most.

This actually IS a NES, just not official and not by Nintendo. A proper chip by chip clone, 100% compatibility and no sound issues. This is not one of those modern barely functional and bad sounding "Nes on a chip" clones that have flooded the market.
