Beautiful. OK a bit of a blip with the gate but hey! I have seen fully trained horses behaving far worse in new surroundings. When you were walking him round, he stopped, looked, took in his surroundings and quite a few times had a relaxed back foot, that says it all. Love how he jogs along the fence line but always close to his new family. I don't know much about Andalusians but if Diablo is anything to go by they are lovely.

yes Karen that's just the reason. I would never use him as a stallion so it is kinder to take away the urge to mate. In the UK not many horses are left entire so other riders get worried when they see a stallion even if it behaves impeccably.

Hi Tara, With not being a horse owner, I'm guessing this is how youngsters act but my heart was in my mouth for you and Diablo. He looked so much bigger and stronger than I remembered. You are marvellous, always unflappable and I do hope, with your kind hand he has settled down and feeling much more relaxed now. I do have to say...He is absolutely stunning ! ...I'm sure with your "Magic Touch" training and loving support from Rens he will turn out just as you had planned. xxxxx 💕😊

Bless so scary being away from mum and everything he knows. Interesting 🤔 when he is first introduced to Apollo and Farouk. Although they will smell and, look at each other in the stables. He does look stunning . Lovely trot. Ouchie.. gentleman cross your legs ... what age does one castrate horses. Does one have to wait until they reach the maximum growing height they are going to reach

Hello Tara My heart went out to your new beautiful young horse & I hope the breeders see your vid & realise they have a lot more work to do before letting each beautiful horse leave their premises. Arrival at your place was calm & I know each day will get better for you both - & you will have an instinct re every move he has made or is going to make. I know because I have watched you with your other horses. Everyone has their opinion & tries to be helpful But this is your assigned job & you will be doing it your way. It was good to hear Bella will be getting some training which will help so much re travel. Once again thank you for sharing with us all. He has three kind understanding humans to guide & guard him & soon he will meet new friends but meanwhile every day will get better for you all. Love to you all - the horses & Ike xxxxxxxxx PS at midnight we will be on level 1 but trusting everyone will still be vigilant re staying home if any signs of cold or cough. We are all thankful for this & want it to happen for all countries We have family both North & South in England & so far so good - all well. Thankful the 3 or you are safe in your Bubble too Will check in tomorrow for 1 video Blessings :-)

Congratulations on your new yearling - Diablo is gorgeous! I'm sure that he'll become more relaxed with the cow in time. Despite not having been weaned, or handled much before you bought him, he seems remarkably well behaved considering he hadn't been castrated yet. The then yearling colt (one of the riding schoolies had a foal) was horrendous to lead before he was cut, trying to leap on your head and jump on you!

It’s all new to him..I mean what are Thoses red brown things making funny noises are they going to get me...in the other field. After the gate challenge he slowly looks a bit more confident; who ever put the gate up did a good job...that gate took some pressure on it luckily it held tight. He’s got to settle in..this is expected to start with. Nice movement on him. I think you did everything right there tara. I was about to ask has he been gelded.

Tara, you are so amazing and your kindness and reassuring voice clearly helps Diablo build his confidence. Change is difficult for us all, right? May I ask why you had Diablo castrated? I have no experience with horses, so I would appreciate the education. Lovely, lovely life you and your husband have. In this world today, you are living in the Garden of Eden where there is beauty, love and peace! I am over here in my beloved United States of America which seems to becoming a foreign country to me. So, viewing your videos brings love, peace and joy to my heart if only for a few moments. May God continue to bless you and your husband as you enjoy a little piece of Heaven with your magnificent horses!🎚♥️😘🙏🙏🙏🙏💕🐎🐴

Awwwww, he’s gorgeous Tara!!!! He’s landed in the best place ever with the best family to care for and love him!!! I can see why he felt trapped for that moment but no harm done. You could see the wheels turning in his head, figuring out the bulls next door and whether or not they are threat. He’s smart👍🏻💕 Great Steve came to the rescue!!!! I was worried about Steve for a second getting pinned against the fence by them!!😳 This reminded me of the first vlog of yours I saw, with Koenig meeting the neighbors cows!😂 still one of my favorites and I’ve shared it with others!!!

He has had a very big day - lots of change and new sounds, sights and smells to process. No wonder the herd of cattle including a bunch of young bulls made him nervous. He has had a pretty protected life with momma by his side, so now he is facing these new things by himself. I think you guys talking to him calmly will continue to be important to him. You will be who he turns to for comfort. He is so handsome - what movement! So glad he isn't injured as a result of his attempt to get the "he!!" out of dodge. He is taking in a lot of new information and it will be a few days before he settles in. I wonder what he will think of his new brothers. I'm sure that will be another interesting event. Thanks for allowing us to witness his arrival home and his first intro to the paddock. He is in good hands.

Tara, you really need a much smaller enclosed area, like a round pen. He also needs to be kept on a much shorter lead at first. There's just too much in that large area that will scare him. The wind is blowing like mad and he's in a new environment, so of course he is unsteady. If you have a center corridor in a barn, that would be a good place to start leading him. He'd be away from the road noise. In the US, a 6 foot fence (2 meters) is considered the minimum height for a fence for a horse that needs training.

What a beautiful mover he is!! He is one gorgeous horse and I can see why he tugged your heart strings. I am not a chestnut lover but I must say, his color is very rich and maybe I may have a change of heart 😍 I have seen castrations on horses but they were sedated and were laying on the ground. I like the technique your vet uses and does it while the horse is standing. I am looking forward to seeing more video's of this boy 🐴🥰

Hi Tara, Yes, Diablo was a bit anxious in this video but he had just finished a lot of " firsts " in his young life - away from mum, trailer ride, new place and sounds and bulls. All in all I thing he handled it well. He could have been tearing around in a panic frothing at the mouth! He also came back to his humans for security at the end. I think he will settle down nicely and he is a very handsome horse. Won't bother me to watch the surgery; he will lead a much better life due to it. Looking forward to watching his progress.

Tara, I think your paddock time was well spent, giving him not only the sights of his new home, but sounds he will be hearing all the time. At least now when he is in his stall, he will know what those sounds are and won’t be anxious about them. Your voices have helped him much; he was definitely hearing you. I wonder what he thought about the bulls! ‘Silly looking horses they are!’ Looking forward to the next videos.
