MY BOUNDARIES (IMPORTANT)
stop asking me to make videos about ever after high. same with the winx club. no ifs, ands, or buts about it. i have said numerous times i dont care to watch, so quit trying to change my mind.
i make it clear what my niche is. literally say what it is in the beginning of my videos: nostalgia, family, and children’s entertainment. When i say nostalgia, that means nothing in the older demographic past the year of 2015 (because that is nostalgic for me)
so stop asking me to review these live action teen series on netflix like ginny and georgia, outer banks, and never have a ever.
yes, every once and a while i talk about something outside of my niche if i really want to, but i mainly put that content on my patreon.
i don’t do this all the time because i don't want to take away from the focus on my channel. like i did when i talked about don't toy with me miss nagatoro, and when cassie howard pissed me off and i included her in that white women tears videos. when i make these videos you guys keep getting on me to talk about things outside my niche.
and no, i will not make a second channel to talk about these things.
if i have a video that is patreon only and you tell me to post it publicity on youtube, you’re blocked.
say something mean about my teeth or just my appearance in general, your blocked.

Richard pisses me the fuck off too, I see so many people on the internet praise his nasty ass behavior and call him a "Chad" and I know he's comedic relief but Nicole's parents (as much as I hate them) had a point about Nicole's taste in men.

That episode where they flashed back to her childhood and her whole lifestory with Richard is insanely cute and sweet B u t- Imma be real and say that it never once let me warm up to the idea of him as a parent or partner to nicole 💀 Maybe i missed the point but while richard is a funny character, i’d be lying if i said any of the show’s attempts to justify and excuse why he’s the way that he is has literally NEVER worked on me By the end of that flashback episode, while it was sweet, a good deal of it just left me feeling sad for Nicole ong😭😭😭

This video has really shown me that we need to seriously make more room in media for women and girls to actually have proper support around them, rather then these horrible men. Imagine if any of these ladies had a good friend group, family life or someone to turn to. These men have failed these ladies and I can only hope they all get peace. Great video, Harri!

yes!! there are way too many female characters in media whose entire social existence (and existence period) are boiled down to a man/men/romance in general. i find a lot of times they at least have a best friend, but they're usually totally sidelined for the romantic interest and only show up every now and then to give advice/cheer on the romantic relationship.

I always felt bad for Nicole like her parents molded her to be a unhinged perfectionist and she doesn't get respect from her work amd home is a mess. The sadder part is in the episode where she makes different choices she either turns into a dictator, goes mad twice, or dies. She clearly was destined for hardship

As much as I like ‘The Amazing World of Gumball,’ you’re right. Nicole and Richard’s relationship is toxic. Also, she’s not respected by her family. Also, I did not know about Maleficent trauma story. It’s sad, but good to know. I’m assuming in the movies they cut that part of the story? I did not know for real😢

yea we did get some kind of backstory with shego and here brothers, and what i picked up from that is that she couldn't stand being told what to do, and she never even asked to be a superhero. so she turned bad to rebel. i wish the show went more deeper into her character because she's so interesting and i would like to know more about her past.

fr. its scary how much of a normalized joke its become. The downfall of women on so many levels. bro. u got me in my feels. cuz it really is a problem. I love my mom but ive had to deal with so much of her internalized anger and aggression which then materialized in me and my sister because of the ways she settled in life. i see her pain and so much of her potential but the trap she fell for seems almost too deep for any type of hope and the same goes for alot of women within my family. its truly insane to be forced to settle for a homer, a peter griffon and become a lesser version of who u could of been, just because your basic needs were not valued or respected

Actually they might go feral if we were to believe that episode, and i guess to play devil's advocate I feel as if nicole doesn't treat richard as an equal if we go by the episodes like "The deal"( the one that richard does help out in his own way with the kids.) , "TheRoutine"( Where his only chore is getting a jar of mayo), and "The Job"( Where he gets a job, but strangely enough was trying to make a point of the status quo, but nicole kinda being self detructive.)

I really do love me some Nathalie. Her pain is something I relate so much too. Gabriel gets on my last nerve though I hate that man. I think Nathalie had to take on a mom role without being a mom. Adrien recognizes that at some point and loves her for it. Gabriel ignores her and just obsesses over his dead wife. I was so happy when she finally abandoned him.

10:25 Now that you say it aloud, it makes sense. At first I was like "aw he knows she can do better and cherishes her" but it's more like "Oh no he *knows* she can do better and is kind of nailing her with him". And this is coming from someone who likes Richard, at least in comedic terms. But honestly, as a whole he's pretty pathetic and knows it. Guess that's the "hot wife, uggo husband" trope in a nutshell.

Spoiler alert ep 1 season 5 Even tho i ship gabenath i am so happy that Nathalie stood up to Gabriel, cause i think they unfortunatly need a break from each other- Nathalie is ruining her mental health for him, she gets stressed she spent so much time helping him, even when she's sick, but Gabriel still makes mistakes- and loses. I know she has cared for Adrien, but sometimes she put Gabriel over him. So i think now relationship between her and Adrien will become better as she will spend time with him csre more about Adrien and stop caring for Gabriel so much as she did before. Gabriel on the other hand, maybe will notice that when even his most loyal partner in crime don't agree with his decisions, maybe Nath will talk to him and he will change his view on what he is doing. or maybe not because it may not be easy to get out of his addiction and obsession what i mean is Gabriel, Nathalie and Adrien really need to go on some therapy.

Before I give my opinion everyone is free to disagree or agree. It is okay everyone has their thoughts as long we are being respectful. Okay going back I don’t think richer is a bad person, or a bad parent, or at least comparing richer to Nichole's parents is not the correct word to describe him. Many episodes show richer does genuinely love Nichole and their children. If you gonna compare Nichole's parents' parenting to richer parenting then you need to review. Honestly, Nichole's parents remind me of some people in my life. Parents or people that are strict, perfectionist, and harsh at times because they want the best for their children, people, or other person's best interest. In doing so they fail to understand how it can be overbearing, and problematic. Also, lead to failure in understand their children's or other person's perspective. Richer understands that and never forces Nichole to hold on to those standards like her parents and instead allows her to have flaws. As well as encourage her to just give it her best. Secondly, you forgot to mention richer childhood which plays a cruel part in his parenting skills. For significance, the time when his father abandoned him when he was a child and does shady things as a career. Plus come he in and out throughout his life. Giving this is understanding that his mother had picked up her husband's slack since his father wasn't around much and why richer is so close to his mother than his father. she was more part of his life compared to his father even though he never allows himself to be a bad role model for their children. There are a lot of episodes that show how much he genuinely loves his family. For example, this website show all episodes that go deeper and discuss relationships between richer and the rest of his family. As well as others. * theamazingworldofgumball.fandom.com/wiki/Richard_Watterson/Relationships I just wanted to type this because I don't think it fair for richer to be labeled as a bad fathers. Honestly, there are worst parents out there and richer is far from it. Yes, he is not the smartest and doesn’t make wise decisions at times but that doesn’t mean he ain’t willing to sacrifice himself for his family and the one he cares about. Even mean putting his wants aside.

(Tw: sa, dv, grooming, coercion, molestation, gaslighting and sexual harassment) Oof harriyana, you're an MVP for watching antiheroines! That's one of my favorite channels and I watch videos on that channel constantly! And your video's interesting and very timely as I myself have been thinking about complex, dark, complicated and nonconventional female characters and in retrospect, in both an artistic standpoint and in retrospect with me reflecting on my own life--especially with my mental health, which includes some of the most complex personality disorders and mental illnesses known in society, and many traumas I've survived (by the grace of God) that shaped me into why I act and think the way I do (long story short: my life and upbringing was like Dawn Weiner and if you've watched Welcome to the Dollhouse you know what I'm talking about. I've survived bullying, alienation, DV, SA, grooming, etc. Yeah, you get my drift)--I'm starting to empathize with these characters like Nicole Watterson. In fact, that's why I've reclaimed words like monstress, spaz, cripple, spook, etc., as my way of not only coping with my mental illnesses and PTSD but also loving my neurodivergence and disabilities especially as a WOC in a time where devilish ableism, racism, misogyny and sanism's escalating again. (Not saying WW don't go through these things, it's just a whole lot of other intersecting nuances when WOC go through these things.) So anyways, harriyana, I kinda get what you're saying and artistically I'm kinda in that same mindset too.
