So admech are actually they exact opposite. It isn't that do damage and are squishy, it's that they do no damage and are cheap as he'll. 7wound , 7toughness, with stealth for 45, 50 or 60 pts (chickens) that you can run up to 27, most run around 18, then cheap infantry, you just flood wave after wave to keep the opponent from moving and then the game is over.

Chaos nights are pretty decent at killing Necron secondary scoring units with their non-LOS shooting from top hats. There is also the general toughness problem.

The Votann rules didn't change for 2k point games. The change was for 1k and 3k games. New tokens are 2, 4, and 6 because 3 was a bit much for 1k and 5 not enough in 3k.

As someone who also plays Necrons, Chaos Knights are a bad matchup for Crons because it's a double whammy of things they're weak to. Necron leadership is terrible if there's no leader in the unit, and their antitank is mediocre at best. That's not a matchup I'd like at all. But in the meantime, excited to paint up my Blade Champ! Got an RTT in two weeks, and ready to get my golden bois back on the table

Yeah, necrons have solid mid-strength shooting but their AT is middling. The doomsday ark and the lokhust heavies are probably the best?

AdMech has absolutely 0 kill power as all the damage is stuck to expensive 6++ models (breachers), and even then their ouput is lower than World Eaters Forgefiends The rest of the army hits like a wet noodle with 4+ BS/WS army wide with low AP, rare access to rerolls, no way other than heavy to improve hit rolls It's moveblock town, most games end with the admech player tabled but with a 50/50 chance of having denied enough primary to outscore the opponent

Yep. Admech need their elite units getting WS/BS 3+ base, not 4+

Deathguard can cancel the hit buff votan get from the tokens with their gift of nurgle aura

Yeah that was my take at a glance. Votann leans into potent mid- and short-range firepower, and the DG aura sort of plays perfectly counter to that.
