Hi Josh, I've been watching some of your vlogs and this last one before you leave the country seemed to be an interesting one. You really did experienced a special treatment in the countryside . You did see how simple life is for the people living in the villages and how they are doing from morning till night. The chicken soup is called “tinola”, and the veggies you ate with it is green papaya. It is wild chicken we used to called it native chicken. She cried happily, ahh she was so touch.

Yes, you're right the resilience of these people is unbelievable, maintaining happiness despite of their life's trials and situatione. This was tested especially during Typhoon Haiyan, the strongest storm ever recorded in history, with Leyte being the hardest hit and claiming thousands of lives.
