Not the exposed one, the one with the curtain that's used in the dorms. That one doesn't require a room, sims don't get embarrassed when using it because of the curtain.

When you get all the packs, you should use university showers since they’re cheaper and you can line up a few so multiple can shower at once

Build in Residential and swap over to Res Rental seems to be the name of the game for building apartments. That's okay! Easy work-around. This is a very cool, funky build. Very inspirational!

The problem is if you want to develop/expand a building that already has residents. So this is a bug they should work on for sure.

Ohhh! During the Let's Play, maybe when you renovate the place, you could add plants to the roof to create a decorative garden. Or like those rooftop farms you sometimes see. Even if it's not functional, it would look really cool!

I think you should remove the microwave, since you don't really need it. And sims need one open counter to prepare food from the fridge.

The sims can take out quick meals or microwave quick meals and don’t need any counter space.

Seeing as you didn't get the chance to play with Home Chef Hustle much in Rags to Ranches because it came out so soon after Horse Ranch, it would be cool if you could start with a mini-LP of that with Laird to build up enough cash to buy this lot, and then switch completely to For Rent.

When I was growing up in Asia, we do have communal kitchen in the building. During lunch and dinner time, different families come and cook at the same time.

I know this pack is south Asian inspired, but all I see is South America, Venezuela specifically. Either way I'm happy, seeing as I can now recreate my grandmother's house in the game!

I'm absolutely in love with the style of this pack because it reminds me so much of home (I'm from northern Brazil) and I think it's great that we have so much in common with South East Asia architecture-wise. I always love the hot weather worlds or build items that you can tell are from hot places (Oasis Springs, island living, Tartosa, the courtyard oasis kit and now Tomarang) because there are always elements that are just like north/northeast Brazil and, I suspect, countries like Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela).

Lilsimsie had similiar issues building plus a lot ofnlag. In fact she suggested building in residential mode and then changing yhe lot type. Bit if you want to ‘grow’ an existing building without changing on lot type, this is a huge issue. So hopefully they fix it.

Building just requires that you assign at least one unit before you start building the rest of the dwellings. It doest seem that buggy as long as you start with a small room assigned to the first unit

The “security gate” is actually a gate for a store, at least that’s how we use it in Hong Kong! In reality it doesn’t have that glass door attached inside, it’s just a rusty metal gate to close the store.

i feel like this pack would make the Von Haunt Estate finally have a purpose - like a bed and breakfast at a historic site or a good way for vlad to stay fed in his mansion lol - just innocently renting out some rooms

That definitely wouldn't work, the way the system determines if households are a match involves number of beds available in the unit, along with other factors.

I have a question. If I rent a furnished apartment and bring some of my own furniture with me too, if I move out, how will the game know which furniture is mine and which furniture belongs to the landlord?? Can I just keep/steal the furniture I’m renting? Or do I have to rent an empty apartment if I want to bring my own furniture?

You'd probably have to just put your furniture into your household inventory if you wanted to leave some behind and take some. Otherwise I imagine it works like City Living, where you are technically buying the furniture when you move in.
