I cried the first time I heard President Obama deliver that speech and I’m crying just from your reading back the lines. It’s very humble of you to give credit for their authorship.

Thanks John ! That was a great intro of yourself. And it also made me cry!😘 I had the pleasure of hearing Obama speak in 2008 when he was campaigning in Denver,Co. Just his presence was electric, and yes, I cried. That was the time I got interested in politics. Thank you for your insights. I love you and the guys !!

JonFavereau, You should run for offiice. Its not a perfect job and very few people are really suited and far too many are in it for the for the wrong reason. I do understand because you are a writer that I should of retained my writing class and valued punctuation much more than I did.

I remember sitting in a McDonalds at the end of Obama's 2nd term. I was listening to two older black working men talking about Obama's tenure. It was a very.somber mood. In summary they were disappointed, it seemed that he had really accomplished anything that 'changed' the country. "Well, he did the best he could....' was what I remember most. That didn't seem particularly proud or satisfied with his agenda or results. I don't think they wanted a govt pgm, but a govt that could provide more economic opportunities. They didn't seem particularly proud or wishing he were staying on. His race wasn't a factor to them, they didn't seem to think they represented them, they certainly weren't married to him. He clearly wasn't the answer they had hoped for AMERICA. It seemed he certainly hadn't connected with them.

I love Jon Favreau, so much because he is genuine, honest and authentic. I heard he told the story 3-4 times and still not tire of listening. Jon is not only a great speech writer, he is a great orator, as well....

Oh wait a minute, you're not that dude who makes movies... You're some guy trying to monetize his name. No thank you.

There are people with the exact same name, doing very different things. In this case, one Jon is making Marvel movies and the other one was Obama's speech writer. I doubt this Jon needs to monetize the name of the other one. His podcast and media corporation is pretty successful
