Human lives are a dime for 12 million. Provide a mass produced las rifle or autogun to each. Throw them at a problem if 99% of them die you still 220,000 that have survived a battle and are likely survive more if given more equipment and additional training.

The guard force was to collect the infected into the target area. The bombardment was to incinerate those bodies as well as the memory of what occurred there. No victims, no future heretics. Plus the bodies would come back to life if they weren’t burned and the victims could have ended up infected and later cause problems…

The Guard stood! (thanks to the Emperors protection!) I guess it's hard to get it to a result more narrow :) But it shows again how important placement is and how it matters where the units navigate too. Those autocannons on the left (if you look from the sky) had the huge advantage of having the bulk of the conscripts in front of them to defend them. On the other hand, the first (lowest) row of autocannons was in a disadvantage as soon as the bodies of the zombies began to pile up. I saw this in several of those battles already that defenders with superior firepower started to take more loses, the higher the piled up bodies were, simply through to the fact that they startet to shoot more upwards, meaning a lot of their firepower was wasted. So of those, placement is even more imporatant. But yeah, great battle once again :)

There's just some franchises UEBS can't capture. Each lasgun, punches basketball sized holes through concrete walls. Full auto. Each soldier.

I mean they dont? Not a lasgun, its a beam of light its about the size of a normal 5.56mm round. Boltguns on the other hand... yes they will put a basket ball sized hole in some one, if not completely explode them. But not a lasgun, completely impossible, its a beam of light. One of the resons ceramite plates and plastile are used in armour manufacturing in 40k is because of there ability to disperse heat from lasfire or even reflect it.

@ChaoticPinky well the franchise owners say otherwise. That comes right out of a codex. Also, even among our ammunition today, various 5.56 can be very different on how much damage they do. So you can't say it's just 5.56 and say all 5.56 is the same. But never, never equate such vastly different weapons to each other due to apparent bore size. A lasgun is much larger than 5.56, but again that's irrelevant. They also are not just light but a combination of light and some exotic form of plasma. Gotta go with the universe creators on this one. And again UEBS just doesn't fit some franchises well. It has, limitations.

I know they are autocannon modles but autocannons don't shoot lazers they shoot shells and are used vs light armor these autocannons are acting much more like multilasers
