I agree with Bill. There are lightweight and inexpensive folding aluminum ramps that we use to get my power chair in and out of the trailer. It would be easy to arrange the interior to accommodate the chair even more. With a prosthetic, you'd be even more mobile. It can be done. Depends on your ability to make it happen. I believe....!

What a lovely couple. They have built themselves a great trailer with a lot of comfort and a huge kitchen. Very impressive water and electrical systems and the shower pump is very cool. If you're in a wheelchair permanently, you could have the ramp at the back for entry/emergency exit and use a half wall for your electrical equipment and water tanks. A Murphy bed on the side wall with a desk on the back for those who work online is a space saving idea. Really encouraging video for those of us looking forward to retirement.

As someone with mobility issues myself, I have to say, these 2 are an inspiration! I could just see myself being able to follow my dreams of traveling the country with a similar set-up. I particularly like all of the handrails everywhere. In my mind they seemed to sound so invasive and off-putting to have them in a tiny home. But they had several and they weren't invasive or off-putting. They didn't take up any space at all really. And they were in such handy places. I was also always concerned about a composting toilet and if I could really use it with mobility issues. If this gentleman can do it, I know I could too. I enjoyed all of the knowledge he shared and the beautiful workmanship. That kitchen so big and pretty. She is amazing doing so much hard work. I'm truly inspired! Thank you for sharing their story.

I was so impressed by the use of the mini-split and shower drain system. The emergency egress window has been added to my must have list as well, and the way you laid out all your mechanical equipment inside the back doors for easy access was a thing of beauty. I was looking at 17 footers but now I am thinking the 20 foot length is what provides the space at the rear without crowding your living space. Thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love this trailer. You all did an amazing job especially with making it work for your needs. This is something I would love to be able to do given the money necessary, equipment , skills, and the help to get it done right. If my Dad was still alive he would have loved to help build it with me and my family. My husband is sadly lacking in the home repair, building, fixing aspects that are needed and I am dealing with multiple disabilities as the result of multiple spinal cord injuries and a number of neurological issues from complications of the various life threatening health issues I have battled for the last 10 years which altered my life and abilities. I loved going camping and exploring throughout my childhood each summer not only because it brought my family closer, but we got to spend quality time together with Dad and he made it exciting to go see new places across the US and especially in the different mountain ranges when we weren’t traveling to meet up with extended family on both sides of the family. My husband and I had hoped to do the same thing with our daughter, but unfortunately hasn’t been able to happen.

I have tried to think about how I could modify the entrance of a trailer to be able to get in/out (a ramp rather than stairs). I have paralysis on my left side and walk with a quad cane. Marvin and Mary, you are truly a fine couple who support one another! You made a wonderful home for yourselves. What an awesome couple! They have such a positive approach. If they don’t know how to do it they will teach themselves how. I would sure like a line diagram of their electrical system. I did not see a TV. They don’t have one? Please tell everyone how to get in touch with these people. They are a wealth of knowledge and could help so many people.
