I would love this build with a hydraulic bed. Underneath, I would have a seating area with one of those moving tables that would convert into a 2nd bed. So, when the main bed is up, you have a sitting area, but you can also lower the bed so it's low enough to get into, and just high enough to still have the guest bed made up underneath.

Fantastic. Just so fine, Joe and Deb👍 Thanks, Bill for helping them show us their great ideas and how to execute. I'd really like to see some detail behind the finished walls. I think Joe mentioned at the beginning there was another video covering some of that. If so, please point me in the right direction. This was one of the best I've seen so far. I think you should build another Joe, with your 7'6" ceiling, and sell me this one! And with the extra height you could have R20 with a 4" ceiling. 👍 If I build my own, that's my plan, R10 walls and floor and R20 in the roof. Very nice looking windows too, what make are they? Safe travels you guys 🙏👍
@joehemmerich38405 күн бұрын
Walls are 1" rigid styrofoam between the 16" on center alum. studs. Then 5- 1 x4's run horizontally with one screw per stud. Then the same styrofoam runs horizontally between these 1 x 4's. These are absolutely necessary for attaching everything wall wise inside as well as attaching everything on the outside such as the mini split, ladder, spare tire etc.

dear Joe & Deb, Did you make a HOW TO VIDEO on your build? I LOVE THE SAFETY, AND JUST THE HORSE SENSE of what you've made there. My husband and I have found ourselves in quite a predicament, post Plandemic, and we are mow desperately needing A TINY HOME.... And, adding the mobile element to it is just fine with us, as we couldn't afford land now, to save our skin anyhow... Many folks are in our same predicament, and we have advised that they too WATCH KZbin,... As, some want to go the Motorcoach path, and others want to do the Van Life, etc... And these videos are just such a precious benefit to ALL in need, right now. We sure appreciate you both, and hope there is a BUILD VIDEO!!!!! If not, perhaps you could demonstrate some of the techniques you have used (as you did, in showing us your ladder and the fan with the lid (on the front of the unit, on the outside, that you also use to cook upon)!!! Again, THANK YOU AND A HEARTY THANKS ALSO TO : "I RIDE" Tiny House Adventure WISHING YOU AND US ALL LUCK, Johnny & Carolyn

@@joehemmerich3840 Amazing tree. Some of them are more than 8,000 years old. I would think the wood would be extremely hard and difficult to work with. Was it? I say that not because the tree is old but because it's not tall and it's so old.

Great vid as usual . What a wonderful build. I only wish I could do the same, skill wise. But even if I had the ability, they added 3600lbs to the trailer, which I do not want to do. I have the same size trailer coming in at 1850 lbs new/empty and I only want to add 1600lbs. I am going to have to find some light weight creativeness. Cheers

Mini split , spare tire, interior walls , corner support jacks, refrigerator, etc. have weight to them. These are items we did without on the last two builds. The double axle, the solar, and solar equipment all add up to weigh whatever they weigh. We had 6 weeks of food, clothing, extra water (24 gallons ) etc. Propane tank, 6 chairs etc. Could we drop 600 #'s? most likely yes. Good luck with your build.

great great idea. What if the sink was on the right side and the left side is the flat side
@joehemmerich38405 күн бұрын

I have seen so many of these builds and they all look fantastic. Is there a reason most people use 7' wide trailers and not 8' or 8.5'? It seems to me you would have so much more room in a wider trailer.
@davej7434 Жыл бұрын
Intrested to know myself, I have a 7' wide, would like to do a 7.5' or 8' myself on the next one.
@billanddeb Жыл бұрын
Many do a 7 wide because it's easier to see down the side with your side mirrors while towing. Later model trucks have adjustable side mirrors that can be extended for a better view. In the case of our van though, the only thing available was mirror extensions that fit over our standard mirrors. They do work, but the magnification is different. Takes a bit of getting used too. That being said,,,,,in our case, we are very happy we went with the 8 1/2 wide the 2nd time around, and I feel comfortable towing it now after a bit of getting used too.
@user-3tf67bk46u6 ай бұрын
One reason people go with 7' footers is they're a bit easier on fuel to tow. As for height, 7'6" gives you more room but two drawbacks.. extra fuel use and a bit more surface area in heavy crosswinds. Naturally a bit higher centre of gravity too of course. 7' footers tow a bit nicer.

Is that a 0-degree Torsion axle or a down 5-degree Torsion? I ordered my trailer with 2x Torsion 7000lb tandem at 0 degree, I've had nothing to compare it to so I've been wondering if I should have went with the five-degree down torsion
@billanddeb Жыл бұрын
I don't know the answer but, in my opinion, clearance is imperative.
@michaelkaine345 Жыл бұрын
@"I Ride" Tiny House Adventures Clarence is very important. The 0° I believe gets you four inches and 5-degree down will give you 8in. You could get up the 25 down or 25 up, Depends on what you're looking for.
@joehemmerich3840 Жыл бұрын
Our axles have an 11" clearance under them. Our Rhino (15 gallon) is 13 inches high and with a 2x 10 plank under the wheels we have all that for the rhino.) Call Bravo trailers for the answer you seek.
