i understand they have their personal taste in mind (let's call this factor "aesthetic A"). This video looks like choosing "aesthetic A" over "practicality" and "comfort" in every aspect of the house. My personal advice is: a home is not a museum. It's somewhere most would want to feel Comfortable and it needs to be Practical because it serves as a HQ where you operate, recharge, work, play, interact, etc.

Conceptually I love it!!! Practically I would tend to start adding to it with the pass of time… perhaps a floating seating ledge where they sit on the floor might be a next addition , I would take it even farther and create a radius on every corner so it looks like a CAD drawing … nice work! 😊❤️

Very interesting design my first impression is easy to vacuum and mop as there’s no furniture a lot of effort to maintain but my personal choice is to at least have a couch for more comfort Wonder if they have converted one room for their cat? Scratch tower…. Litter box… toys…

You're right, it's extremely easy to clean. We have many other places to sit on. Our cat has access to every room via flaps.

Truly polarising..I totally get the brutalist aesthetic/vibe - sth I appreciate and would aim towards to, but I also can't comprehend the impracticality of lacking certain creature comforts/basic furniture and appliances like a sofa to chill or a dining table/seating for gatherings or even a ceiling fan just cos it's more costly to always have the ac switched on... 🤔

Read up on furniture-free movement and related health benefits. The floor is both healthier and cheaper than a Herman Miller.

i... i absolutely love their home - it’s almost exactly how i envisioned my own! i agree with some of the comments above about adding soft-edged furniture, like a two-seat loveseat, for relaxing and recharging before the new day; that would be incredibly helpful. i’d also suggest replacing the gray fridge with a white one (SMEG brand, which has soft corners and would blend nicely with the rest of the details). other than that, im giving a big round of applause!

they missed the chance to make the fridge be seamless by covering it with cabinet drawers that are match the walls. also extraordinary/curved windows, building in the air conditioning into the ceiling or the wall, and placing the tv’s in the cabinets, which would be activated and brought up using a button. curving the walls inward would also allow to install cabinets/storage inside, but that’s all just my opinion. love the sun light simulating light tho.

A lady I saw on facebook once installed faux greek columns in her second floor social housing two bed flat in Tallaght in Dublin. She was going for a Greek Palacial style, busts on pedastals, etc. I remember thinking I've never seen such a poor appreciation for the reality in which her apartment existed. But then this lad built a desert cave in his apartment. For me, that's the opposite of architecture: forcing an aesthetic onto a building that literally couldn't be less authentic or self-aware.

The juxtaposition between the aesthetic of the home and the owners is quite interesting. Their hair colour and fashion sense can't help but lead you to think they're vibrant, over-the-top folks but perhaps it's an indicator that on the inside, they are quiet and calm. Or perhaps it's a balance between their external and internal characters/needs. Or maybe I'm just full of shit 😂

Very stunning. One detail that bothers me is in the living room the tv is angled downward. Place it flat against the wall at a correct height. Then in the bedroom the scale of the tv and the location of the placement hanging beyond the wall is so careless. So odd going to such lengths in detail and then throwing the tvs up carelessly.

I've never seen anything so uninviting and unsettling. The point of minimalism would be that your brain can chill out without being bombed with clutter/stimuli, in this place you just don't feel protected and calm, feels like standing in a dirty hangar, no softness anywhere, just rough hard surfaces

Wish the wall they recline on could be designed in a more unique way to allow for a natural arch to support the back perhaps? kudos to the interesting take on what a cave home can be i feel like it couldve been stretched even more.
