Advent released after more than 2 years of no hololive new gen, paired with the current gens experiencing dramatically less activity from some members for a long time, so the demand was extremely high which explains the bigger viewer ship and subs. But we also seriously needed more EN vtuvers that streamed at reasonable EU timezones, this is the first time i could watch an unarchived karaoke live without sacrifying sleep and i love it.

I think the 2 year gap was a very huge factor that raised Advent's hype. Nothing against Myth and Council, but to be completely honest, I think my interest in them already started waning several months before Advent's debut. Compared to the current situation, I love that Justice is here, but I'm still very much invested in Advent's activities right now.

The community has embraced them with open arms and has showed each of them what it is like to be in Hololive. Elizabeth is actually a childhood star for most 16-30 fans because of her PL most popular original song in FNAF. So she was carrying MLP, FNAF, BRONY, Fanfic fandom that had very very large circles. So adding that with vtuber fandom, Elizabeth is the big addition version of Justice like for Advent's Nerissa, Hope's Irys, Council's Kronii, and Myth's Gura.

I think the main issue was that Justice was a clearly europe focused gen and they scehduled the debuts when europe was fast asleep. Debut numbers will always be supressed if you have a target audience and then choose the exact worse time for that audience for debuts.

Yeah. I agree that it was definitely not a great move, but as MOST people have pointed out: debuts are kinda useless beyond hype these days. They're the first brief flash you get of a talent that isn't always 100% accurate (if at all) to how the talent will be. Especially in Hololive, there is a LOT less interaction with chat, and just more focus on getting the information out there. It's fun to catch the debut live, but you basically get the same experience watching the vod and even highlight clips. However, once the debut was over, they started streaming at more EU friendly times, and THAT'S where they build their audience. Cover KNOWS this fact! This is why the debut comes at a time that's best for JP time (where, surprise surprise, most of the company's investors and execs are), so they can monitor the hype and branding, make sure they don't commit ANY faux pas the media might latch onto, and show their investors how they are managing their "overseas products". In short, it's actually a very SMART move from a business and marketing perspective. Look at how their numbers have grown SINCE their debut! I'd be willing to bet a good chunk of those are EU subs, based on their chats...

I'd basically written them off as soon as the announcements and schedule for debuts came out because the time they chose communicated to me that once again European timezones were not the target audience. It's only be chance I've since caught up again. It may have looked good for investors but they probably lost people who saw the announcement, thought it was another gen they won't be able to watch and didn't bother to check them out again. Also it wasn't binary between JP and EU, there are time slots that are in reasonable hours for both regions. They're in the middle of the night for North America but it would have then communicated effectively to both the investor audience and the target fan audience.

It can't be denied that most vtuber fans are either in the Asian region or in the NA region. Their usual debut times are friendly to both timezones, but unfortunately leaves EU out to dry. Also iirc most Holo managers are in Japan, so there's that to consider. I think the latter point is the more important one btw, having management look out for their talents is important. IIRC Tsukumo Sana debuted at a shxtty hour for her timezone too, so it's not a deliberate nelgect of EU bros.

Yea them going from being announced during a random myth collab to debuting in what felt like under a week (might have even been?) kind of didn’t give us much time to get hyped. I straight up thought for a full day after watching the announcement trailer was just new costumes for advent and suddenly “oh by the way they’re debuting in like 3 days”. Not only from each other, but from almost all other current members. So many people compare Raora to Ina, or Gigi to debut Bae, but those comparisons feel so shallow to me. They don't capture what is UNIQUE about this gen and what their personalities and each one's specific brand of content brings to the table. ERB is not just talented, but a talented PERFORMER. She is honestly the first EN talent who hasn't felt like she's NOT constantly trying to subdue herself herself to be "more authentic" while still feeling genuine, and that is a content goldmine that you rarely get! Gigi gives off a dgaf attitude that we haven't experienced since Coco left (although she's a BIT more subdued in it...) Cecelia is Gigi's perfect "partner in crime" and more subdued foil... somewhat with how Ame/Same used to be before they got too big. And Raora...well, for a lack of a better term, she brings the "comfy-mommy vibes" that EN has been missing since Sana left. I think they are gonna do a LOT to fill holes that EN has had recently. Cover is DEFINITELY doing well with these picks.

As someone who loves european accents, this gen is amazing lol But yeah, all of them are unique and really cool. Raora being my favorite because I love her energetic but at the same time comfy style, and her voice just does something to me lol (also yeah she hot af). My opinion hololive girls will always have the 100k subs before or after debut or come close or surpass 200k subs after debut watch next gen because hololive always do a new jp or ID branch month after a new en branch. Also, remember, regloss they had surpass 100k 2 or 3 times before debut because youtube was cutting their subscribers. Council would all be a 1 million subscribers right now if youtube didn't cut their subscribers. As for justice members hololive proved like they did with advent is that there looking for the best of the best you have to be talented at one of these to at least get a chance to join hololive singing,gaming,streaming entertaining for a certain audience.
