Even though Risu denies it, Vtubing is similar to Pro Wrestling. You have talent that you have known with a gimmick then might leave the company, start a new gimmick in another company or on the Indy scene or redo an old gimmick . A good example is Matt Cardona, who went by Zack Ryder in the WWE. In the WWE as Zack Ryder, he had a semi decent push but most of the time was used as an enhancement talent aka a jobber to top stars. When he was released from his contract, he rejuvenated his career under his real name real name on the independent scene, has made appearances for TNA, AEW and ROH, NWA and mainly works for GCW. A lot of wrestlers often leave the company they worked for as they were not happy with how they were being used. During the height of the WWE/WCW Monday night wars, a lot of wrestlers would jump ship if they had a chance to make more money or were not happy with how they were booked in their current company. Some leave or retire due to injuries or health issues and then do regular work. If you want to get an understanding on the Vtuber Graduations, you can look up pro wrestling to see what happens when a talent leave a company they worked for.

So, I can tell you right now that most of the Hololive talents with a brain are desperately trying to find a way to escape the company right now before Yagoo collapses the entire vtubing industry. Essentially, it's going down like this: Hololive/Cover Corp has been getting lied to, manipulated, and harassed by the CCP and the MSS, which has allowed the CCP to shape Hololive into what they want Hololive to be for ideological purposes. This is how controlled opposition works, the CCP is generating the hate and slander intentionally in order to create a desired response at Hololive. Cover Corp has created a subcommittee on defamation that aims to target and prosecute slander, but what this has actually created is a system that operates like the dystopian Ministry of Information and allows the CCP to control the entire vtubing industry through Hololive. What they're calling "defamation" is actually the truth, they just don't know that because they've been gaslit by the CCP. It's all backwards and upside down now. This effectively leaves the vtubing industry in an Orwellian nightmare that it cannot escape from. If these agencies like Hololive and Nijisanji don't start letting go of power, they're going to send the industry into an authoritative death spiral that cannot be reversed. This isn't a doom post, I've been trying to warn the vtubing community about this for years, they just never listen. The vtubing industry is running out of time.

Why did the guy suffer no repercussions and why is nobody mentioning how creepy his behaviour was and still is? I am not even into the whole vtuber movement but the fact that everybody is taking this story as "wow this is why vtubers shouldnt be minors" or "wow, she feels like a creepypasta" instead of talking about how a predator got her into a transactional relationship really just shows the mindset of this community.

I do understand the point of this video but i also really disagree with the way Depressed Nousagi is brining up this information. Watching this video and the discussion its trying to beget makes me feel like the information isnt presented in a nuance way. I was really happy when the video showed Suisei and Kronii's comments about how things will be okay and that fans shouldn't be assuming things like wildfire but immediately turns back to trying to assume things and make wildfire by going into the reality of a company public. I dont think the information in this video is given enough nuance or care and is more being given to drive his own opinion over a very broad and sensitive topic. Yes, its a crazy thing Hololive genuinely had to lose 7 members last year and yes I am also slightly concerned with the way Hololive's direction and management is going. But trying to spin the story in a direction that can easily lead to more fear mongering and wildfires is not the way to talk about this. A company grows and gets more workers of course its also going to lose people. I think another thing people tend to easily forget are that the talents aren't confined to the streams and their jobs as members. They are actually people. They are living actual lives and also have a myriad and pushes and pulls outside of Hololive that can affect them and their desire to continue streaming. I really wish the best for Hololive and that things can go back into a direction where the company can be more transparent, free, and especially energetic with moving things along with what different talents WANT to do. And raising our voices online like Alex said is definitely one way we as fans and financial contributers to the company can help that. But making videos like this is not the way to do it in my opinion

When I said it's obvious that VTuber female talents have married lives behind the veil of their personas, marriages DURING the time most of them would want to have children, I got jumped by commenters and called the worst. "They wouldn't do that to their fans". Rushia's example is messed up, but it's surely not the only marriage kept on down low.

Hey DN, I remember back from previous videos that we shouldn't worship, trust or love the corpo VTuber agencies because this will be hurt us. Fast forward, it is now happening in Hololive which is beloved worldwide. Never thought that we will see all of the things usually occured in Kurosanji.

After Ame announced her graduation I came to terms with the fact that it’s bound to happen to any talent in Hololive so it’s best to enjoy the time we have with them. But for some reason Faunas graduation announcement hit harder than it should’ve and the fact that it was a hard graduation also added to it. Hopefully Hololive doesn’t experience another low like 2024 in terms of graduation for a while.

It's a case of wanting to grow the company's success, but with investors, it's a painful growth. I understand how certain staff members and talents could feel ignored or out right disrespected. When a company goes public, they have to adhere to the will of the the main stream. That is why I see more talents graduating. Main stream is not where the base cult following is, and Hololive will either learn that or abandon their base.

Not to minimize each member's own reasons for leaving, but I did a statistical survival analysis considering a sample of 900 vtubers to check what rate of annual departures would be "normal" for Hololive's size and member tenure right now. Considering indies and corpos the expected number of departures among the girls is around 5 per year, and considering corpos only it's 6-7 per year. This will go up gradually in the next years too as the average member tenure increases. So even the 4 departures in 2024 and 2 so far in 2025 are, from a mathematical perspective, not unusual. If we see more than 4 additional grads in 2025 then Holo will be doing worse than the industry.

It's a good reminder that they won't stick around for a very long time. They've been around the industry for years, so eventually they would've wanted to move on to the next chapter in their lives. Although it's also unfortunate for some who ended up in the middle of a controversy which might've ended their career. It's also a good reminder that Cover has taken a more corporate direction in their business decisions.

As much as I love Suisei what she said in defense is just survivor bias. My oshi probably didn’t ask for much and she still graduated. I don’t really care if it pisses her off my concerns as someone who cares shouldn’t be dismissed as “wHy dOnT yOu AsK OsHi” girl we did, and she bloody graduates.

I think they grew too quickly as a company. Too many (unique) idols. As much as I enjoy every talent, It is impossible for talents to have a strong bond and sense of trust with management if there is a huge number of staff that aren't all on the same page.

You know what is rich about helmir and his mass comment self liking alts He is basically boosting drama channels' algorithm by commenting anyway by sheer engagement ESPECIALLY any comment that he doesnt agree with despite how civil it is and if backed up by facts He and his alts expect you to be blind, biased and no life your time and money away to the talents just as he does If not he accuses you of not watching or listening to the talents DESPITE the existence of legitimate clips from legitimate clippers of decent rep such as yura(what, the incel will call these clippers out of context drama baiting ones too like kamiclips?) Taken straight out from non membership streams being facts The guy will also assume you have these drama channels as your "oshis" which is a huge fucking stretch beyond mr fantastic and plastic man The guy is no real fan if he keeps giving fuel to the drama channels anyway, the supposed "enemies" of hololive How to deal with heritage-ism?(in case yt kun is being censor happy, think race and with ism) Dont talk about it Same deal here with drama channels Dont like them? Dont contribute to their algorithm by mere engagement Best to keep your biases and closed minds elsewhere People are allowed to find info anywhere they can and let people do what they want with their findings, there is this thing called taking such with a grain of salt Clips included by the way from legit clippers included so gtfo with your accusations of "not watching and not listening to the talents" Well clips included from the streams So by saying that does not count and we should no life like you do, that means we should not listen to these same clippers and therefor, should not listen to the talents Logic much?

this reminds me of a quote from the movie Equilibrium that really stuck with me "I've spread my dreams underneath your feet, so when you walk, tread lightly because you're treading on my dreams". everyone joked for years about the "Yagoo dream" but honestly, now that it's starting to become a reality, I really don't think so much dreams needed to be crushed underneath the ambitions of a man.
