Luise, it’s a good journal. At the end it sounds like you’ve been crying. If so, don’t cry. That means you’re putting too much pressure on yourself. Just have fun. We’re loving this and you’re doing a great job. ❤❤❤

Luise - it’s comforting to know that someone as accomplished as you experiences the same things as I do. I’m constantly losing things in plain sight. And when things are not working out as I hoped, I have to go through the freak out phase and walk away and then an idea will magically appear in my mind and I’m ready to try again. Thanks for sharing the challenges as well as the successes.

The cover is incredibly beautiful in such a raw way! I moved to a property that once was an industrial natural gas pumping station that brought the gas into the city in the early 1900's. We have found so many rusty crusty items and shards of these beautiful white ceramic Edison Battery Covers. I have them wrapped and put away for a "someday" project. I think I may arrange these items on my copier and see if I can create some really interesting paper. You really inspire me to go far beyond just "great expectations". Great job Luise! The second guessing just launches us to a bigger and better level of creativity!

Luise, please believe me... your journal cover turned out soooo well! You have an amazing eye for balance and flow in composition!! I watch you work as often as I'm able; and both learn and Garner inspiration each time. You bring even "grunge"to life for me (a dedicated full-color- spectrum person)! Thank your for welcoming me into the art & life of a working creator.

Oh wow, Luise. You accomplished your task of finding junk from the construction site and turned them into works of art in this unique and fantastic junk journal. The whole thing is marvelous. Your success shows us that just about anything can be used to make beautiful art. Like you, it is a real treasure!

Some of the things happening to you always happen to me. At 72 years "young", I can lay something down, and within a very few minutes, it's gone!!! I have the time to just go do something else and come back to it and SURPRISE! There it is right where I left it. If it's really important, it may take a day or two but it usually turns up. That time is hard take if you are making a video but it works for me! Your creations are wonderful and I am sorry that they get so frustrating. I really like the little frames on the back and it is cool that you had framed pictures inside as well. I hope you do a "flip-through" of the completed journal. I've watched what I could of the construction but I'm sure I may have missed a few and it would be awesome to see the finished project in one video before you start doing personal additions that you don't want to show. Thank you for sharing your creative thoughts and your frustrations with us. It's nice to see others having the same troubles and how they make it a success. ❤❤❤

Luise, I absolutely LOVED this video! One of the best I've seen in a long time, not just because the cover turned out so well but because you showed us the struggle it took to get to the end. I have been struggling with no mojo the past month or so. I sit in my craft room (yes I have a whole big room), I look at my HUGE stash of beautiful supplies...... and I can't make a thing 😔. If someone as talented as you, on Tim's team of makers, struggles sometimes too, then I don't feel so bad. We can all watch fabulous tutorials that have all the mistakes edited out and the finished project is perfect but this sort of video helps me be a better crafter. You also made me chuckle throughout the video, your sense of humour and your enthusiasm for products, projects and processes is heartwarming. So thank you Luise, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤ xxx
