What I find really interesting about this is, Karl is usually extremely cynical and whining, but here he has a job where he has to encourage you to buy the product, so he has to be the one who is trying to be as positive as possible to encourage you to buy it. He has to spend 15 minutes doing that, and the more he was doing it, the more he got into the groove of it. I think the unintended effect was, since he's just talking to a camera with no feedback to really go on, but the positivity music is building up, it affects him and it's like he's talking to himself. He's basically encouraging himself.
