An idiot tries to fit spark plugs on a Subaru Impreza Wrx

Few tips: - Click on the normalise audio when rendering a video, this will make the volume the same throughout the video -5db is a great volume to set it at. - To remove the spark plug you might want to use a 1/4" ratchet with a stepper and a 1" extension, this will get the perfect distance without using wobbles, because not destroying heads on doing a spark plug is cheaper than good tools. - Dont ever use a torque wrench on anything other than directly to socket, your values will be wildly off when using those extensions and wobbles. You did well. Other side is even easier, just needs 2 bolts for the airbox.

Came from your other Subaru video, love the laid back vibe to them :) Just noticed when you start up the engine at 10:41 it sounds like you might have loud a bearing potentially on its way out, maybe something belt driven. Recently found one about to go in my engine bay and it sounded similar, might be worth a check just in case

hey! enjoyed this video a lot. I'd say replacing your fuel filter may help with the gunk. Also, usually speaking, when you replace sparkplugs, you should replace all four haha. make sure to put high octane fuel and keep your fluid changes up!

Great to see another (seemingly) stock WRX being given some love! I've got an '03 wagon with a very similar reg number, so probably came from the same dealership as yours, and other than a panel filter and a few Prodrive bits I may one day get around to fitting I've kept it as standard. And good effort getting those plugs changed yourself so fast, when I did mine I roped a friend in to help :D

I'd recommend only using NGK plugs with the proper part number for you engine. NGK is the factory plug for these cars. I bought a subaru that had cheap plugs with improper gap. After switching to NGK, it made the engine run smoother, and my mpg increased.

Just to let you know that if you need to disarm the immobiliser after unlocking the car but not starting it put the key in, turn on the ignition and then press the button on the key. No need to lock it and unlock it again 👍

Can I just say I can hear an audible knock , I have blown Subaru engines many times and have experienced a lot ha ha , that car 1000% if u keep the revs at 3k u will hear very closely an audible knock coming from centre of the block , try using a long screw driver and put your ear on it
