Your attention to detail is astounding, it literally looks like a "New Bike" just on thing. Was this a US import? Because it has "High Handlebars" and ours had much flatter ones. Just a thought.
@suzukigt750idiot Жыл бұрын
Yes it was an American bike, but I always fit the high bars when I rebuild my bikes because I think the riding position is better and more comfortable 👍

Bikes from the States were always in better condition than those from the UK. If the weather didn't rot them away, then a "A-holes" behind the handlebars did. I helped my Brother back in 1986 rebuild the top end, with a rebore, new pistons and rings. Only for him to sell some years later, to a guy who bought it from him and revved it mercilessly, and trashed the engine. It was a completely original UK bike, a bit tatty, but all there, including exhausts. And he sold it for £600. I didn't have the money back then, but if I did, I would have saved it.

Thanks for the reply. It reminds me of the bikes I had back then. The B version is the one I like, especially the blue.

Hi do you acid strip and wire wheel buff all the bolts etc before sending off for re zincing? Also do you re zinc full wheel spindles or just brighten the ends? Do the platers charge per kilo of parts?
@suzukigt750idiot Жыл бұрын
Hi I use a solvent first to get all the grease and oil off them, I only wire wheel all the hardware to remove the old zinc and rust which takes me about 6 hours to do everything including the carb hardware. I have everything completely zinc'd both axles and swing arm bolts not just the ends ! I'm not sure how they charge to be honest

Hi, can you tell me what happened to the video you posted about how to fit the Accent Ignition? That was the only topic it covered. It was the shorter and second version.The one where you showed actually enlarging the fitting slots; and moving it back and forth until the red L.E.D. showed. The one that WAS completely Idiot Proof It now shows as a “Private Only” video when I try to play it. Thank you.

Hi I'm going to do a more detailed video for fitting the Accent electronic ignition in the next couple of weeks
