It occurs to me that, during the voice acting reel, I didn't display who voiced what character *in Kaijudo* sooo Scott Wolf - Raiden Kari Wahlgren - Allie Phil LaMarr - Gabe Grey Griffin - Alakshmi David Sobolov - Bob Oh yeah and I didn't include these VAs in the reel but honestly I should have because they also did great. Dee Bradley Baker - Glu-urgle Oden Fehr - The Choten John DiMaggio - Master Brightmore Andrew Kishino - Master Kimora Freddy Rodriguez - Master Chavez Jason Marsden - Fingers Allana Ubach - Lucy

For a brief period of time, about as long as the Kaijudo card game was running, my parents owned a little hobby shop where they sold the Kaijudo card game. A few of my friends and I got into the game, which led my parents to invest in it pretty hard and even attracted a decently sized player base so that we could hold regular tournaments. I even kept my collection of cards to this day. We were all devastated when the show and game were discontinued. It's really nice to see someone talk about the show, as it brings to mind some of my favorite childhood memories!

Seeing this video really made my day. I really love the Kaijudo show. There are not a lot of videos on this website about the show, and seeing such a good video that analyzes this show perfectly really did make my day, and I think you. The show wasn’t perfect. I admit that, in my opinion, Kaijudo focuses more on action than on storyline. Don’t get me wrong. The show had a storyline, but you could tell they were focusing on an epic series, and ongoing stories were secondary in the show. But every series had its flaws, and Kaijudo was a great series. I wish we had a third series or some former continuation. Unfortunately, Kaijdo joined the number of canceled series after season two. But this video shows that there are still fans of Kaijudo out there. As long as we keep the series memory alive, then Kaijudo, in a way, is still alive. Again, thank you for making such a great video. I’m going to check out your other videos.❤

I got recommended this video by another Kaijudo fan and I was immediately SO excited to watch it and this was such a phenomenal and well made video!! I loved the way you talked about the show’s characters and themes and how much you respected the crew and the art direction! This show is so unique and interesting to me and I’ve loved it ever since I first watched it on the Hub back in 2012. (I also never realized at the time there was a card game attached, I really loved pokemon and yugioh at the time and if I’d known i would have definitely grabbed the cards) I also got really back into Kaijudo over the last year and half and its such a special show to me, this show’s always on my mind. I feel exactly the same way about the show's themes and characters and was nodding along the whole and going YEAH!!! you get it!!! :D It’s so rare to hear someone talk about this show and you’ve done such an amazing job presenting the show and talking about its background. I’ve always felt this show deserved more appreciation and I’m so glad this video exists and I hope this inspires more people to get into the show! Thank you again for such a great video!! ♥

An absolute gift of a video, such a strong return!! As with everything you make it’s very well thought out and expertly conveyed. Thank you for explaining how good this show is so well. I haven’t watched it since I was a kid and I don’t remember much of it, but it’s good to know it lives up to the positive memories I have of it.

I watched kaijudo as a kid and at some point I stopped watching and a it completely faded from my memory until literally a month ago, when I randomly found one of the episodes in my recommendations and I thought "this seems suspiciously familiar" Then I started rewatching it and like oh yeah , i've seen this before

When you started listing the writers' credits at the end my eyes nearly bulged out of my skull. Holy shit talk about having pedigree, nearly all of those are considered masterpieces. I had no idea this show existed before this video (Don't think it made it here back in the day, or if it did it was after I stopped watching TV and didn't make enough of a ruckus to caught my attention) but I'll probably end up checking it! This video also made me think of Chaotic, a show with.. kind of a similar premise? That I watched as a kid.

I loved this show so much when I was a kid!!! I loved the worldbuilding and how every character in the show felt like real people interacting. I actually remember seeing some of the Kaijudo card decks being sold at some stores while I was watching the show on Netflix. I never bought any sadly. Also, in the Earth Eater episodes you mentioned, I think it was either mentioned or implied that the Earth Eater was designed by the water civilization to actively expand the water type's borders. I'm not sure though.

I feel like maybe I would have liked the Kaijudo show if I had actually been the target age demographic for the show. I wanted to like it but seeing the creatures in the show vs how they look in the game was a huge turn off. I honestly don't see how they thought people would come to the game from the show. It is really sad that this game is dead because it had some of the coolest pricing i had seen in a while. I am die hard into the card game still. I know I'm late to the upload but if anyone watching is still into the game, there is an active Kaijudo discord where we hold tournaments, buy sell and trade and just interact will others who still play. There are even a few of us still doing kaijudo content to this day.

Kaijudo was one of my absolute favorites and it’s refreshing to know it had quite the fan base. Redekai was similar, and just as interesting! Chaotic was intriguing, too. I really wish someone would cover Max Steel and Generator Rex because both were pretty stellar, imho.

i loved the card game when i was in middle school. i got a bunch of my friends into it and we’d even have our own “competitions” during lunch. don’t think i ever won a single game, despite introducing my friends to it

Have to correct you on something here, the Yugioh manga and story very much came first. In story Duel Monsters was just another one of many games that the main character played as part of the plot, pretty much a rip-off of magic straight up. It was only turned into a card game after konami got a shitton of fan letters asking to play the card game from that one chapter. As a result the yugioh animes are actually mostly unlike their contemporaries.
