I in fact did not complete my creative goal and have Dr. Juneja's interview up in time due to technical difficulties lol. Will have 73Q with a hematologist/oncologist up next week

I am a sonographer. I sometimes take work home with me. It’s a lot to be the one to find the problem and in some cases the cancer. I had a first in the past few weeks.. I had a late gestation fetal demise. I resonated with what you talked about with not seeing the heart have cardiac activity… it’s very ominous. You’re doing amazing things.

thank you so much for all that you do! it's definitely hard to keep work and home separate especially when things are as visual as sonography

In a world filled with frauds and grifters (politics, etc), the purity and humanity of you and other medical folk is inspiring. This was both inspiring and a boost to the spirit. As ever, thank you, Andy, for allowing us to see your vulnerability and dedication.

"Terrifyingly Calm" are exactly the words I'd use to describe the environment during resuscitation! The small discussion with Dr.Juneja is making me feel excited for the upcoming 73Qs!!!

I'm also in my ED rotation this month as well! I am still amazed at how calm people can be during traumas and emergent cases. But it's so true, the main difference between me and them is they've been doing this for years and know what to do, and I'm still very unsure about all of the steps which can lead to a panic. It's giving me the motivation I need to continue studying even during this last stretch when there's not many required exams left.

Would I be totally crazy or naive or awful for actually wanting to be involved in a code? I’m a technical assistant in an ED right now, and I’m also a second year medical student. I’ve also been a first aider, both paid and volunteer, for almost 5 years. My eventual goal is to work in ED, ICU, and complex chronic care, and ideally I want to work in international aid medicine eventually. I want to be where the area of greatest need is, I always do my best work in high pressure situations where there isn’t time to overthink. To have the privilege and responsibly of that acute moment of trying to save a life is just indescribable.

sounds like EM or critical care is the way to go for you!

Nah not at all. It's best to have people who want to get involved, as there is that driving motivation for you to practice and study, so that when the time comes, you actually know what to do, and want to do it well. all the best mate
