Made of list of all the quotes, Time stamps and who said them with a few uncertainties. Not 100% sure on the ones with the Question mark at the end 0:30 community and all that nonsense... A man has to mind his own business and look after himself and his own (Mr Birling) 1:43 The germans don't want war, Nobody wants war ... And Why? There's too much at stake these days, Everything is to lose and nothing to gain by war (Mr Birling?) 3:28 unsinkable, absolutely unsinkable (Mr Birling) 6:12 now look at the pair of them, the famous younger generation who know it all. And they can't even take a joke (???) 7:25 it would do us all a bit of good if sometimes we try and put ourselves int he place of these young women counting their pennies in their dingy little back bedrooms (???) 9:03 there are millions and million and millions of Eva smiths and John smiths (Inspector) 9:38 We are members of one body (Inspector?) 11:04 If men will not learn the lesson, they will be taught it in fire blood and anguish (Inspector) 13:13 in fact in a kind of way, you might be said to have been jealous of her (Sheila) 15:22 A girl I know had to see at the town hall one afternoon and she only escaped with a torn blouse (Sheila?) 16:36 alright. but it doesn't make any real difference you know. (Sheila) 18:06 why shouldn't they try for higher wages, we try for the highest possible prices (Eric) 18:56 afterwards she told me that she didn't want me to go in but that she was in that state when a chap easily turns nasty and I threatened to make a row (Mrs Birling) 20:17 Not really, I Intend to give it back (Eric) 21:24 It's still the same rotten story whenever it's been told to a police inspector or somebody else (Eric?) 22:43 when you're married you'll realised that men with important work to do sometimes have to spend nearly all their time and energy to their business. You'll have to get used to that just as I had (Mrs Birling) 24:40 Girls of that Class- (Mrs Birling) 25:25 (Agitated) I don't believe it. I won't believe it... (Mrs Birling) 26:30 it happened that a friend of mine... had gone off to Canada for six months and had let me have the key of a nice little set of room he had (Gerald) 28:23 everything is alright now, sheila.(Hold up the ring). hello @Mr Salles, I have a quote for jekyll and hyde that I'm curious about. what theme could this quote about hyde fit into? duality? the supernatural? Good v evil? "his every act and thought centered on self; drinking pleasure with bestial acidity from any degree of torture to another: relentless like a man of stone" the "bestial" part of it compares hyde's pure evil and his inability to avoid it, seeing as he is pure evil, as animalistic and instinctual, but I'm not sure about the "stone" part either. does it re-enforce the point I have just made?

thankss :) same to you too. What do you think the question is going to be?
@Wefhio2 жыл бұрын
@@preenaparmar7723 Since having so much disruption to learning, id expect something fair. Maybe a question on Sheila? the Inspector? that'd be nice. Or even Mr B. I wouldn't personally expect one on Mrs B though - I don't think there's enough about her to warrant a 'fair' question, but you never know. However I'd love a question linked to symbolism - that'd be amazing, I'm sure everyone could say a lot about that. Also just a tip for yourself and anyone who reads this - my teachers have told us to describe the Inspector as Priestley's mouthpiece and apparently it's not something a lot of people say? It's a good alternative for Priestley's proxy so you arent repeating yourself too much, and they've said it offers a better description of how Goole is used in the play. I'd say either is fine, but it's always good to broaden your vocabulary! Once again, good luck!
