As a fan of board games, this "reset" mechanic is great. It keeps the season competitive so that the possibility of a runaway winner is minimized. Along with all of the other bonus points that have been introduced, this has been the most engaging, strategic, and balanced season yet. Of course, it's not perfect, but it's getting damn near close.

The biggest flaw with their new scoring system is that it removes most of the drama from situations where the crag can flip 2nd/3rd. Because if it does it usually just means that 3rd place gets the same score as 2nd because 3rd gets a bonus point for getting to 1000.

I've been following watchin Guts and watched every episode since it started but I'm still a little confused on the point system this season. I wish it would have been explained in the first episode of this season since the rules vlog video is long and confusing. If the point system is 4-2-0 for the place they finish in and 1 point for the "call your shot" on the 3rd event and 1 point for not coming in last on any event then I understand. If I'm wrong, could someone please explain the point system for this season. I hope that they start explaining the point system in the first episode of each season.

Definitely a bit confusing. There's also the bonus point for breaking 1000 points in third place. I think that's the last place finisher, not the third player drafted.

The only time it's worth trading down, is if you think your player has a chance of falling apart. Otherwise, you can't pass up the points. Gaining a 1 pick by trading away a first place is never worth it, because the most you're going to get is a first place finish.
