An INTENSE Racing battle to Southampton: Racing Class 158 DMU

Today video will see SimOnTrains racing a South Western Railway Class 158 Diesel Multiple Unit from Romsey to Southampton by using a Class 158 DMU!
South Western Railway run a service which starts at Salisbury and heads to Romsey before going via Southampton Central and Eastleigh before heading back to Romsey to Terminate and then departs Romsey to go back via Eastleigh, Southampton and back to Romsey before going back to Salisbury but both trains roughly meet around Southampton Central but this race was VERY close.

Shame you didn’t have a 159 which do escape onto Romsey 6 which is what some of the Salisbury crews call their duty on the line!

I have seen a Class 159 on these services, The Brockenhurst to Southampton which stops at every station that I did last year do have Class 159s on this service. To be Honest a Class 159 Vs Class 158 would had been nice.

South Western Railway should keep the Class 159s but to replace the Class 158/9 with the Class 222 Meridians cascaded from East Midlands Railway. And to use them on the London Waterloo-Exeter Central, Salisbury, Warminster, Westbury and Southampton Central-Exeter Central, Salisbury and Bath.
