Wow, you are so adventurous and brave! I don't know if I could do all of that (staying with strangers in a new country), you are living the dream!

I find its ok if I know I can trust the organisation. I've done it before on a scarier level, going to Costa Rica for 3 weeks, so this was easier because I already knew a few of the people AND can speak the language lol. Its just something that if you want to do, you need to just book and do it. Because if i think about it too much i get nervous, but i don't want to live regretting that i didnt try new things :)

It looks like a nice place. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. How was the safety on the boats? That would be my one concern about places like this. Also, you spelled "recommendations" incorrectly at the 33:22 mark.

well, it's too late to change the spelling now, but thanks for letting me know :P As far as the safety goes, I felt very safe the entire time. We all had life jackets that were fit to us tightly, and a big wet bag to put all our dry clothes and cameras inside, anything we didn't want getting wet! The drivers were really smooth, there were no sharp turns, we only got so wet because we (slowly) drove close enough to the waterfall that the water sprayed us and soaked the boat. But the whole thing was super safe. I believe you cannot take children under 12? Possibly just because the life jackets are all adult sized, but other than that the safety was not a concern of mine. Even in the park, the rails were all very nice and sturdy to barricade the steep drops! the only time you could have an issue (and this has happened before) is the people who try to sit on the rails to take a picture, and then slip... Everything else in the park was definitely safe an secure :)

@@MaddieinMVD Thanks! Keep up the good work with the videos. You may find them tedious to make, but they're very helpful for researching all aspects of life in Uruguay. Here's a question that could be for a future video. What kinds of automobiles--cars, scooters, motorcycles; both new and used--are available there? What's pricing like for the same model in that vehicle's home territory (North America, Europe, Japan)? What are costs of registration, insurance, buying/selling fees, etc? Which ones are made in their home countries and directly imported into Uruguay (as opposed to ones manufactured in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina)? I realize this seems like a big topic and may not be something within your realm of interest, but it may be interesting for your audience researching Uruguay. Personal transportation such as this could also be something mentioned in future videos as you hear more things from people there. Possibly in one of those annual cost of living/life in Uruguay videos you do. Just a thought because it's of interest to me.

Thats actually a great idea! thanks for the suggestion, i could definitely make a video on that in the future :) I plan to make a video on PUBLIC transport first, but then definitely Personal would be interesting because things FOR SURE are different here than in Australia or other more developed countries lol
