Fuck, definitely I feel like there's something lacking now that Pat is gone, his style of playing was more technical and "insane" and now they don't have that in my opinion. He really brought a musical improvement to the band and I think it shows quite a bit on Bloodthirst, also his playing live was fucking perfect. I miss him.

As for this video, one of the greatest parts of it is Pat responding to the "why do you like death metal" question by saying "because it's a slap in the face of queer kind of music." Pat is not going to prison. The state is going to have to prove intent if it even went to trial which it probably won't.an act in itself is not a crime without intent. And a man who calls his parents talking about the apocalypse and then enters a complete stranger's house without the intent of stealing anything and starts rambling about random whoever's being after him and trying to hide in a closet while freaking out and then making no attempt to flee the police but rather simply going to the backyard and curling up behind a fence is not a man with intent of a criminal nature. It just isn't. It's a man having a psychotic break from reality for whatever the contributing factors were that caused it and suffering paranoid delusions. The fact that his drug test came back clean really really really really really helps his ass because whether it was a psychotic break or not, being under the influence AKA willful intoxication would have played into the prosecution making a case that he willfully was under the influence of drugs and in turn probably committed the crime. If you willfully take drugs and commit a crime that goes hand-in-hand with intent. That didn't exist in Pat's case. The charges will probably be minimized to lesser charges pending that when he got out and got an attorney is attorney had brains enough to get into a shrink ASAP and get moving stat with therapy, hospitalization, medication or whatever else a psychotherapist or psychiatrist deemed necessary for his diagnosis. And I'm sure his attorney is that wise. But you can 98% be rest assured he's not going to prison. The state has an absolute impossible task of proving intent and they know this based on everything they have already. No games, no shenanigans no manipulative defense of oh he was insane when he wasnty, none of that applies here. and as the days move forward it becomes more and more obvious to everyone involved in the case including the prosecution. He'll be fine and probably suffer no more then a few years probation to ensure continuation with whatever therapies or mental health he needs to get help with. And even if he did go to jail which just isn't going to happen without intent, he do no more than 3 years and I just do not see that happening knowing what I know about this process inside and out upside down and around and around. He's good.
