Oh yes, the next installment is Jhope. Actually RM and Jhope are the same age. But Jhope is a few months older. RM is actually a wise, bright, soft, mature, open-minded and pure human being. He loves to read books. I think that's why he got so wise. He wrote most of BTS song (along with Suga), and if you check the lyrics, you'll find out that their songs are beautiful if not bittersweet. Where mostly a boy group wrote mainly about love, BTS (RM and Suga) wrote about the beauty of Life, Lost, and Survival (aside from Love song). Oh, and please react to "From nobodies to legends" video by xCeleste. It's such a moving bts video.

Korea is very different to the rest of the world, over there its underground rapping v's commercialised idol. When you switch its not like america which you can just do. You have heavy restrictions on you, dancing, make up, socialising, appearance, songs, all of it is strongly controlled. Big Hit was very different and gave them alot of freedom and told them, the more they put in the more freedom they can have. Hence why they put in the hard work and the lyrics are very much in conflict with idols and what is normally released over there. If you havent already then checking out RM's song 'joke" or suga "Augst D" will give you a better idea of their individual rap background. However RM changed his name recently as he felt he was also changing and that rapmon was very specific and as they produce alot of genre of music would go against him.

Its not that different. Underground rappers here in the US kind of do the same thing. It had died down a bit after gangsta rap became popular but lately the disdain between the two circles for lack of a better word, has grown again. And rappers who go to more pop music sounds like Flo Rida get little respect from the underground hip hop community. Its the whole stigma about being 'real.' What I don't get is why they are like this in SK when their country doesn't have the same hip hop/rap history. So why does it matter?

I guess when you see it from a cultural country like asia it stands out more, since im australian you slowly get immune to alot of these things as you see them so often. I remember some things happening in the 80's that i saw and thought hold on thats not my generation surely not thats mum's and it scared me somewhat. I guess i am an idealistic living practically, as i wouldnt of thought it would be that degree still where you are either especially in this day n age but i guess some things dont change. Thankfully i do see the light, i have not seen as much love and respect and people bonding and making friendships as i have seen it through the fandom's of Kpop.

redlady4 It's not just about hip hop/rap. The idols in general are considered bad ("not real") singers/rappers/dancers. Artist that aren't into the "idols stuff" usually understimate the idols and groups in general, because the idols are estrictic controlled by their company. You know, the company decide what they can or can't say in public, what kind of stuff can or can't share in social media, how their appearence need to be, what they'll sing, dance or rap. In kpop indrustry there's rappers that are just rappers because their company "need to fill a spot", so underground rappers think they're not real rappers. The thing is that in the industry there's a lot of idols who write/compose their own music, others who were underground rappers and dancers, and other who have a lot of freedom in their work, but still the stigma that they're bad just for be idols is there.

Carol Bane I know all of this. But the issue regarding underground rappers vs. non-underground rappers is specifically what I was talking about. Epik High, Dynamic Duo, Dok2 etc all get hate from underground rappers as well. Not just idol rappers. They get that extra hate for being idols like you said. But there's this sell out mentality against for any rapper that actually signs a record deal and gets even somewhat big. There is obviously some envy and jealousy which has no social boundaries. Maybe its an economic thing because these guys can actually make a living out of rapping in a country where everyone focuses on appearing to be decent office workers when there are very few decent office worker jobs. Its just something that I can't pinpoint since I'm not from their.

Army accepted the fact that RM doesn't do dancing before bts... seeing him dancing along with others its really hard work for him. Well most of the members aside from jimin and jhope doesn't really dance but look at them now... army love them because they are good performers but behind the cam army knows all the flaws they have. Me personally love those flaws...so what if one doesnt dance, sing or rap well... nobody's perfect.... its just a matter of chemistry and wit...

Thank you for understanding RM and BTS change in music style. They still do hip hop songs, but now they do more pop and edm like music. The thing is that they incorporate in their music many sounds, styles and vibes depending on the message and concept that they are aiming for. They like to play and try new things instead of sticking with the same things over again. BTS style is always changing but is still BTS style in a way (if you get me). That's why Namjoon changed his stage name from Rap Monster to RM because he thinks rap monster does not defines well who he is now. He stated recently that he doesn't just do rap anymore but he sings a bit and writes/composes songs that are not just rap. RM is for his new self that wants to do many music than just rap.😁

That videos were the ones that made me realize how much have they grown as artists but mostly it showed me that BTS were artists and really good persons even before they became BTS!! @@NikkieNick it's good to watch for first time fans, but I legit can't watch it anymore. It makes me so pissed, it's not even funny. Especially because of all the hate that B-Free throws their way. And every time RM and Suga defend themselves, B-Free just throws more insults and hate. So many of us veteran ARMY call it the "B-Free Eyeroll Video." Because we literally roll our eyes when clips of that interview are shown. But, it just goes to show how hard BTS worked to become successful. Like, they're internationally known, now. While B-Free is a nobody. And if you search B-Free on Google, the majority if the results are articles and clips from that interview with people hating on him because he dissed BTS. Watching this and seeing the clip where RM and Suga are getting dissed because they are Idols feels like vindication now. Idol came out just a few weeks ago and broke records worldwide. They are on an amazing world tour and on the cover of every newspaper, magazine and giving speeches at the UN. That first line of the song when RM says "You can call me artist, you can call me Idol. No matter what you call me I don't care, I'm proud of it, I'm free, no more irony" I just bet it was about this moment when they had to sit there and take the humiliation. Success really IS the best revenge.

I love all the boys but my ultimate bias and the one that got me into BTS is Taehyung (V). I just love his overall music passion & personality. If u get to know him more, he has that unique personality but at the same time a very soft type of person especially to his family. I also love how he does things in his own way, also a carefree person who’s not afraid to do live video with bare-faced even showing his pimples to his fans hahaha😂. You should download ‘V App’ on your phone and follow BTS. They have plenty of videos there with english subs! All the boys are really so funny, humble, genuine, and their close relationship creates a great teamwork which I personally believe is one of the reason for their success. So sorry it took so long to respond! Ahh yes I’m so glad you asked that question! This is gonna be a long comment so get ready 😁 I downloaded the app BodySpace for my work outs. It’s an app where you can pick a trainers program to workout along to day to day. I recommend the trainer kris gethin, he’s my favorite. The app helps me by giving me work outs so I can get right to it instead of trying to think of what to do next. Also pushes me to get through it all and not cut corners. I personally workout 6-7 times a week. I normally work out this much because I just really enjoy doing it and/or it’s a great way to distract yourself and keep a positive mind. Another thing that I personally do is work out one muscle group a week. I know a lot of people do it once to twice but I like to give it time to recover. If I choose to work it out that same week I do light weights to avoid injury. I do also take organic supplements. I did take regular generic sups but they messed up my stomach. For now I would only recommend whey gold standard as a protein powder. If you have any more questions about working out or any other question don’t hesitate to ask. I love answering them! Ps. The best when I motivate myself is knowing how relieved I am when the work is over haha and also how much of a positive effect it has on not only your body but your mind. Keep calm and lift on from SC 💪🏻😁
