Johnny has even more hair on his forehead than Spidey! Oh goodness, they make me think of some pop star! Like a short back and sides with lots of curly curls cascading down the forehead! Johnny also has the attitude. Love that even in the field, Reintje was being ornery about coming into her stall here! She likes setting the rules!

🤣😂🤣. Always so funny how they ignore you. Whether they’re scared or just curious they’re bound and determined not to listen. Then you walk away and their curiosity kicks in and one by one they try to find you. If they were truly afraid wouldn’t they make noise and attempt to run in any direction? As a group and though they could run over you they seem to be aware of you and still are very gentle. Such a mild mannered breed and I love how you work with them as a group allowing them the freedom and still they mind you so lovingly. With the manes being eaten or rubbed off we’d put a neck wrap on to protect those show horses. Even at times their tails. We tried everything and had one horse that loved the rubber bands so she’d eat them. Just like cats especially it’s not good for their tummy’s. We did try Tabasco sauce which worked better and so funny when a foal got a taste of it. Poor Johnny wanting some love and such a sexy dude with that forelock and lush mane. He’s just a love bug and probably feels so alone. No wonder why he calls to the ladies when they return to the barn. Just love these videos more and more as you allow me sweet memories of my own with our Arabians. But your horses are so magical with size and color mostly alike. Any video of them is amazing and your beauty Yvonne mixed in makes the pictures just pop. Thank you for sharing these awesome moments you have that so many would love to have everyday 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😘😘😘😘😘❤️❤️

Reintje is not in the mood for a ride. She thinks she'll hide in a big meadow, but there's a person coming from the other direction. Oh dear. She'll need some extra pellets after all that work.

@@anneteller3128 Do you judge the mares' and foals' weight by eye, or is weighing them something that happens fairly often, so you can make sure they get enough, but not too much, of the high-calorie pellets? Or maybe you have another way to determine this? I've learned so much about best horsemanship practices from this channel.

@@sherilynn1310 I have a question as well, because I am not familiar with horses and their milk. I am learning so much. I wonder if a training schedule decreases a mare's milk? It doesn't seem that long or intensive, the amount you're training her. I know with humans it's on a feedback loop. The more you breastfeed the more milk you make, and the less you breastfeed, the less milk you make. But, then there are women who just don't make enough and they use a milk bank or supplement.

I use Goody "Ouchless" on my ridiculously thick hair. They're inexpensive and much harder to snap than rubber bands, and available via Amazon.

@@raraavis7782 yes. donations were down today ....we are getting closer.....I think she needs to mention the gofundme in each video till we get to 20,000 that is just my opinion....I think it is difficult for her to do that......I think it would be very damaging to ship uniek away at her age 14....and very hard on yvonne obviously.....I say it too much but these videos are FREE ....some get 30,000 views....if that many people like them then send something if you are able....I just think it would be the right thing to do.....I will continue to support yvonne and uniek till we get it done

Oh boy 😂 I laughed so hard when everyone just didn't want to go inside, even with the pellets. Our two horse (mares) would have run to their feed bowles the second they heard the sound of rattling pellets 😂😂 They will do just about anuthing for food. Especially apples 😂😂

There are ways to braid a mane that leave it all off the neck and (I would think) harder for a foal to reach. I don't know how well they would work on this thick gorgeous Friesian mane. I also know of bittering agents used to deter companion animals of many kinds from chewing on things--our pediatrician prescribed one of these to try to deter one of our kids from thumb-sucking. (No, it didn't work but maybe foals are a little less stubborn?) Poor Saly. I've been waiting to post this idea all day long! I hope it helps. Stay safe and healthy. Mathilde’s colors are much like my tortoiseshell cats. They respond to my calling just like your mates do - they do what they choose! In fact, your countryside has much in common to the Gulf Coast of Louisiana. I’m about 50+ miles inland and I’m on a low hilly sandy area, with lots of pine trees and little water courses and ponds. My height is about 150+ feet above sea level.

Yvonne, I've donated a piddling amount, but every one does, great things can happen. My heart horse was actually a non registered Arab, Welsh, Morgan cross. 14.2 H. I grew too tall for her, but I didn't care. She could out walk the " big horses", and was smooth as glass. I only rode with a saddle when REQUIRED....need I explain more about her gaits?:)
