I think the reason for the failed first boot attempt was the 2A limit setting of Your power supply , not the home button.But once again, a very nice video :)

Hi, my iPhone 7 Plus would not power up after getting soaked on holiday in Sea World. I took my phone to the Apple store and they said the logic board was damaged and it’s not replaceable...After watching your KZbin videos, I removed the logic board and discovered a small area at the bottom of the board corroded and two capacitors damaged. After removing the two capacitors I was amazed the phone powered up and I was able to get all the pictures from our holiday! The left side of the display is darker then the right. If I replace them tiny capacitors would the entire display return to normal? Does matter which way around they go on the board? (Only have basic soldering equipment)

Jason, I'm glad you got your MOJO back after the move. You seem to be a lot happier in he new location. You have worked on my iPhone 6 Plus and my daughters iPhone 7, and even fixed it out of your warranty standards upon return. I have decided that I am no way willing to pay $1000 for a phone that sucks butt. I have decided to go cost effective in my life, much like you did with the move to FL, and go with an Android. Therefore, I am sending you, the phone and all the twigs and berries that I have purchased to try to keep it afloat. That been said, I did take it to a shop locally, and they rally had no clue. I opened it up and was horrified. That been said, like an organ donor on a drivers license, I hope you get some use out of all the parts. BTW, the battery is brand new, and is Apple certified.

Actually, touch did not work with the screen that's hooked up in this video. It gave me a little scare but switching screens got it working.

I received my phone and when I pulled it out of the USPS packaging I was speechless. My friends always tell me that's a hard thing for me to do. The thoughtfulness of how my phone was packaged exceeded any and all of my expectations. After turning my phone on... what can I say? I took for granted a device that I used for communicating with friends and family. Only taking pictures or videos every now and then, but I did not realize that my phone is truly my lifeline to them with a few memories saved that I thought I would never get back. After taking my phone to a local phone repair store that could not fix the issues that my phone was facing. I began to search online and fortunately for me I came across your KZbin video that showed and illustrated your process to repairing phones; although they were not damage in the same manner mine was. Taking a leap of faith and contacting you via your website and feeling doubtful that there was any hope that my phone could be repaired but you wanted to take a look at it. Only a few short days later I received an email stating that it was done. I read the email 2x and saw that small miracles, or excellent specialists such as your self are AWESOME at what they do! Even for a nominal fee to things that we hold priceless. Thanks you!

Hi my friend I leave in Glasgow (Scotland) and with this lock down its impossible to find someone to help me, I have an iPhone 7 and the apple logo keep reboot and reboot, tried somethings but can do more then just open and try disconnect cameras and see if that is the problem, clearly not, the big deal is my google photos backup are missing many many pictures, the must important ones for me, my daughter birth, I just want to know if any chance I can get my pictures from this iPhone, I don't care for the phone just for the pictures, do you think is chance to have my pictures back? Great video as always - thanks Jason. Will you be doing a video showing the use of FlexBV in more detail as it looks very useful. As a beginner I would also find it useful to see a known good iPhone 7 boot on the FlirOne Pro compared to a phone with a short. Knowing what spots get hot on a normal phone would be useful. The FlirOne Pro looks like a real time saver and some more videos of its use would be great.

mmmhmmmm.. It's required for data recovery but not for all repairs. I was glad this customer responded quickly with their passcode & encryption password. It really sucks if I don't notice that I don't have a pass-code until after the repair & then they don't know what what it is either. Those are usually teenager phones. lol

You piqued my interest,Duracell,energizer and soon to be bought by duracell eveready don't build phone batteries due to tooling up costs to make individual batteries for variety of phones,that may change battery configuration yearly. It's a specific (niche) contract for each brand.Not enough profit for the big boys who make tons of money on their existing battery lines.
