It's interesting, the screen folding crease crack over time is concerning. I hoped that Samsung would heavily test the longevity of that especially since it is their 3rd iteration.

Absolutely agreed, especially considering that none of these are cheap phones. If you look at the used market, it's littered with phones with broken screens and dead dots, etc.

it's just not practical as a daily driver, in my experience, it had terrible battery life and as you pointed out reliability issues. But as a concept, I'm glad that Samsung is making phones more interesting.

What are your thoughts on foldable phones?

Bad battery life, bad cameras.

Flip phones are not that better in terms of product utility. However, they are a great sell for people with more fashionable and compact lifestyles. Traditional phones can be cumbersome to fit in pockets in certain use cases. And some people like using a smaller screen.

The foldable phones which extend a traditional slab phone into the tablet realm are much more appealing as it allows for people to carry two form factors in one.

With respect to screen and its wear overtime, the product is definitely a purchase that requires insurance if you wish to use it for many years. I believe that at a price tag of more than a thousand dollars, the buyer is not especially going to balk about a 120-150 dollars more for insurance.

However, it is all about being able to use a big screen when needed for multitasking and if a person is the user that works well with foldables, they will have a hard time going back to regular phones.

Z Flip 3? That's literally about to be 3 generations old. Kind of a pointless video

My channel centers around older technology and discovering how good older tech still performs. I’d argue that the only thing I don’t have on the 3 that the 5 has is the larger outer display, a faster CPU, and a better camera; but for the purposes of the video the 3 showed me what a foldable phone is like, especially on a budget! :)

"A special and unique experience" from almost 3 years ago... Try reviewing the current Z Flip gen and not being biased bc you're an Apple fan boy. In 2024, many of the flip phones' cover screens have a 120 Hz refresh rate while the regular iPhone sticks to 60...How can you justify that? And don't even get me started on how they made a huge deal of switching to USB C ...it's both painful and laughable. You see, listening to yet another iPhone user trying to battle reality and excuse Apple for their incipient products and poor choices is like listening to a MAGA m*ron: It's a cult. A debate that can't be had through ordinary and common sense. Logic left the building long long ago. Keep it up, smarty pants =)

If you actually watched and understood the video, I genuinely liked the phone, and my only criticism was that they’re not reliable. I praised the phone throughout and put down Apple for not making anything interesting like this phone.
