This song was played on my aunt funeral. She died at 54 from cancer. I miss her everyday, i love her so much. May she rest in peace.

I have sang in the original choir of Dr. James Moore and of course the premiere of An Irish Blessing ... I have heard many versions and have never been satisfied, since today I know that there is a choir that has the sound, the feeling, the spirit of this wonderful piece perfect to sing ... congratulations, TOP

Finally. A truly wonderful rendition of this song. I heard it in church 25 years ago and have never been satisfied with other renditions until now. Exceptional.

At our Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, we would sing this when someone was leaving town. We had Dr. Moore play and conduct it!

I sing this every year at my school's graduation ceremony in a choral octet, and every year without fail, it leaves me in tears. It's simply the most beautiful choral piece ever written, lyric wise and music wise - utterly fantastic

We also did that at our graduation. I wonder if we went to the same place.

I heard this lovely piece recently on the last night of a choral festival in Spain, which made it special coming from Ireland! Your version here is just excellent!
@whitemountain_3 жыл бұрын
Just out of curiosity, do you remember the name of the choir that sang it? I sing in a choir who went to a choral gathering in Spain 3 years ago and we sang this.
@kevincarroll672 жыл бұрын
@@whitemountain_ It was a German choir and the festival was in Calella just north of Barcelona.

Very beautiful. Why are they singing "oooh oooh" instead of the second verse? Is this a special version of the song or just an idea of the conductor?
@ronuks7 жыл бұрын
As much as I know about the scores given to the choir the second verse was absent. That's why the choir chose to sing "oooh" instead.
