Hey Merlin , The tachometer lead on most all GM cars is green and the power wire for the starter is purple! I hope this helps you out . Great show as usual 😊 🎉 MERRY CHRISTMAS !😊😊😊

What a great gift! Glad you got to work on a TA, they are special in many ways. I enjoy working on my late wife's 97 TA it was "the hot rod she dreamt about since High School", it came 35 years latter for her. He is a lucky son of a great dad. Kudos for his daughter enlisting. My wife's sister was an Airforce Captain and nurse anesthetist served three tours in Vietnam. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas Merlin and all the mosg gang . There were two trans-ams in Llanelly, South Wales in 78 one black and one white . Both with eagles . Stunning car , I was 11 and wanted one so badly . As it goes i saw an old red one in Llanelly not tha long ago , must be a pontiac hotspot . I actually did a lot of engine work on a stingray in Llanelly back in 97 .

My parents surprised me with my old truck for my 17th birthday, I still had to pay for it, and it needed a pile of work, but that was a gift to remember. I've still got it 12 years later, fully gone over, and it's my weekend toy. Hopefully luke appreciates this, and respects the car and how dangerous they can be if not driven wisely

Car turned out impressive / nice looking. 🔥 Fun Christmas present. 17:22 The carb. to bring back headache memories. (Like flooding due to sticky or bouncing of the fuel bowl floats). They definitely produce attention grabbing air intake noise, when the secondaries open. About the only impressive memory was the throaty sound.

FYI The absolute fix for Q-Jet leaky well plugs is to simply TIG welding the existing plugs to the carbon body. Fixed several dozen this way.

I have an 80 trans am. Somebody replaced the iconic 301 turbo with a lowly big block 454 from a chevy truck in the 90s.😂😂 Now I need to go start it up and listen to it thump for a few minutes!

I was so waiting for the kids 16 should be out on his own soon and might need this washer and dryer 😂 My first car was a 1969 firebird...it was the shell left over from helping the owner transplant the motor and transmission into his other 1969 firebird that was super clean. I did the body work and sold it before I got it ready to drive for a 1969 mustang fastback...those were the good ole days.

Holy smokes Snowman! someone knocked over a bank and granted a 15 year old a hot ride. This was a great video and I'm positive that young man will always remember this Christmas day and the memories turning wrenches with his dad bringing this hot rod into the road eating machine it was meant to be. Tatem your journey into the Air Force will be a memorable time in your life and you will carry those memories for the rest of your life. Make the best out of the experience and enjoy touring the globe on Uncle Sam's dime. You are opening doors that most of your current friends will never have the opportunity to do! Thank you for deciding to join our services in keeping America safe I know there's going to be challenges but they are designed to build you up so you are even more capable of dealing with anything that is put in front of you.. its a valuable life lesson knowing that you are a part of something bigger than you could ever have realized. Tach wire if I remember is a blue wire that connects to the hci distributor cap beside the other connector.

Great video! Lucky kid, getting a Trans-Am for Christmas!! I actually met Ryan several years ago at Havasu. He was just getting started in his business. I was able to get a Slide Anchor as well as a Box-Anchor from him. Still have them!! They work better than any other type of anchor!!! You guys did a fantastic job on the Trans-Am. It's looking really good!!!
