Dee Brown’s NBA career came to a halt after he suffered that neck injury with the Jazz. He later ended up injuring it again which really took him down. His skills were never the issue with him sticking in the NBA. It was his health.

Dee Brown won too me. At 5’10 - 5’11, your game gotta be Chris Paul like. Which is undeniable from floor generalship, elite passing, tough defense, to your jump shot being wet. But coaching in my city, Brown still get to stick around the game earning a paycheck. So homie blessed!! - Bars Up Battlecast

Man, I remember Dee really well and he was a terrific college player. I think his numbers dipping his senior year had a little more to do with the fact that that team wasn't nearly as talented as it was the year before & he was the focal point of opposing defenses. It would've been very interesting had he come out after the 2005 season when his stock was the highest - perhaps then he would've latched onto a team (and perhaps been a 1st round pick) who would've really utilized him. All in all, he had a terrific college career, did make the NBA and played really well overseas, and is now coaching. Not too shabby :)
