I inherited an Electro-line BullDozer Model 4365 still works and it was on the garage wall of the house I purchased and I just plugged it up to test it. The previous owner had problems with deer eating his garden as my wife does now. I am going to run some wires around my wifes garden this spring.

Really cool old equipment!! I have an old craftsman somewhere. I have to see where I have it. I bought it at an auction because it was really cool. It has a large single laminated coil that is really large if I remember correctly.

What is the principle that makes the wheel move? What would the mechanism or diagram be like? I am from Argentina.

i have an Australian version somewhere in all my stuff. it has a cast aluminium hood and a switch and the bottom plate is bakerlite recessed and screwed to the hood, the on/off switch and wires are on the bottom plate. the unit has a metal hoop to go around and hang on a fence post and is designed to be an outdoor unit with the cast aluminium hood being totally weather proof and the underside part facing toward the ground. when the transformer is energised by the contact switch on the rotating wheel a magnetic field is created like a relay. the movng part of the relay is the other side of the contact switch so when the wheel touches the other contact the transformer is energised and the relay plate is pulled in and pushes the wheel backwards against the spring, the amount of voltage determines how much the wheel is rotated backwards, as the battery drains and the voltage gets lower the push against the wheel gets less and therefore faster and faster, by knowing what it should be its easy to tell if the battery needs changing or charging.

If you don't mind me asking, would you sell that unit, I'll be glad to buy from you if is still available and working? Thank you very much for uploading this video! Kind regards, Dan George

I'm pretty certain I still have it somewhere in the shop, but I really don't want to sell it lol

I have one, it's not red anymore but is just as cool looking as it gets. I'd have to test it to see if it works.

What is the value of a 1944 electroline like this?

I'm not sure, whatever somebody is willing to pay I guess. $40 +/- maybe less.

Nice video! I have a Prime fence charger with a red bezel on top of the metal case. Very good shape cosmetically. How could I go about finding information about this particular unit?
