These were and still are an awesome unit. I've seen the 220/240v versions from customers over in Europe that will send me pictures with questions.

I have never seen an MOV turn black like that but I suppose it did its job..
@FencerFixerRepairLLCKansasCity16 күн бұрын
Turning completely black like this isn't super common, usually they're just a little burnt along the edge. But like you said, it did its job.

Oh Noooo...you're gonna break it....That was great ..you said in all the years you had ONE person say that...

In 10 years of posting KZbin videos, yes I can recall only 1 person complaining about me hitting the board down into place. I think I did have one guy in person jump when I hit his board down into place while he was watching me work on his unit, but he was more surprised vs worried lol

A couple things I wish you would have hooked up a voltmeter to show us how much that unit was putting out before and after you change the parts and also if you would have powered it up so we can see the blinking lights on the outside through the lenses

Before I fixed the circuit board, it wouldn't have came on at all. I couldn't find my electric fence tester either, so that's why I didn't test the output, but I knew from experience that everything was fine. Also, changing out the capacitor would've have changed the voltage before or after, the voltage comes from the transformer not the capacitor. I've probably got 20 videos on KZbin testing and repairing the Gallagher M800 BEV3, so if you do a search for either model, you'll likely find what you're looking for.

@FencerFixerRepairLLCKansasCity yeah I guess I could search your channel and find the videos all I can say is I know what high voltage feels like and I sure don't want to touch that thing 🤣👍
@FencerFixerRepairLLCKansasCity13 күн бұрын
@darylhudson777 Just KZbin search Gallagher M800 repair or Gallagher BEV3 repair, you don't have to search my particular channel, just search KZbin in general.

I guess a lot of people are asking about that awesome meter...It is really cool...I had been looking for one everywhere...I think I might have found one but the person selling them evidently doesn't understand English or maybe I do not...He has a 1.2kV to 100KV meter 100/220volt....What the hell doe s100/220 volt mean and he cannot explain it..I may have to just buy it. and see.

All electric fence chargers are a high voltage DC output pulse, no matter what the input voltage is. So make sure it's set up for that.

Do you sell any of these fence chargers (used) that will work on 5 - 10 acres? Love your videos., very informative.

I don't really have anything used here worth a darn. I could build you a good reliable unit though for $200 plus shipping. It would carry a 2 year warranty as well

yeah i had to learnt he hard way many years ago about buying the cheaper thing hoping that its works like the more expensive one does lol and like always it never does and within a week or two your going out and buying the one that cost more anyways so in the long run its cheaper to buy the one and done method lol
