An Old Blaenau Ffestiniog Slate Mine

Plenty to see in this old local Slate mine. Can't say the name, but eagle eyed viewers will realise 😉.
Everything from a jiwmpar (old hand drill) to 3 x nineteenth century miners lamps, and a huge bricked archway, something you won't usually see in a slate mine.

Yes I've had rock fall on my head, and in abseil video a rock was seemed to be throwed down a rock face. Not sure if natural or some of the coblynnau (mine spirits)

When they take the slate out of the walls to get easy access to slate, which will probably lead to future roof collapses. Usually done if mine was about to close
