Maybe he fell off this ferry like Jack did and made his way to the cursed sea dog tavern before the dark brethren moved in and was captured by them when he was chilling only to be unable to return because someone stole his body. Thus making him a forever prisoner of the Sea of The Damned. Or maybe he faked his death and payed the siren queen to help frame his father for his death because demarco wanted out of the sea of thieves.

I doubt that the Sea Queen did any of the dirty work herself. She may have been pulling the strings but I think she probably had others working for her to carry out her plan. Any part of the mystery taking place on land was probably carried out by someone or something else at her behest.

I also have a problem with the Siren Queen being the killer because this makes such a convoluted plothole that Amaranta said she was blamed for being Demarco's killer and left for the Dark Bretheren...when...the Siren Queen herself WAS a member of the Dark Brethren! Confused? Yes I am!

I'm assuming the Brethren want to set free Jones to restore their original plans to have him replace the Ferryman, especially considering we never got a *proper* boss fight against the squid himself. A multi-wave/ stage boss encounter against the members of the Brethren all uniting at once would be an epic way to finally defeat them before the "Captain" finally makes his grand entrance.

I love the "game within a game" idea, and love the whole murder mystery was awesome to me, however as u mentioned falcore, the fact that the devs kept most of the clues to social media, many of which i am not a part of, i was unable to get any of the new info until it was already solved....the whole thing is awesome, but not when social media is a must have to complete it

Whole point can be reduced to not finding any, zero, absolutely none "aaah that's why!" moments. The mystery was solved but it didn't feel like a mystery at all. Clues not related, anything pointing to the true villain, etc.

Sure the dark brethren helping could have made sense if demarco was killed after the staff was acquired by amaranta, which did not happen meaning the siren queen did not return through that way as amaranta had to had something to do with it, but she angrily admitted she did not get involved with that. It still doesn’t explain as to why demarco is still dead as he didn’t return from the ferry and the siren queen doesn’t have anything to explain why hes trapped. It was cool and fun and did work, but honestly it just raised more questions than answered

The Siren Queen is still alive because Davy Jones still had the treasure. So all he needed to do was to tap to the box and she can return. He needed the mega siren statues and the coral spire for the final battle after all.

What was disappointing to me (besides it being timegated retweet bait) was that they decided to make all of the clues meaningless because they were "what she wanted us to see". If you want to do a good red herring twist, you have to sow the seeds of the real culprit within the clues so you can plausably believe it was them when the reveal occurs. To just be told, not only is it NOT Ramsey but also every clue you had could never have lead you to the truth makes it all pointless. This was so poorly executed and I really hope that Rare learn from this.

Rare should give everyone 50k gold for the money wasted saving ship cosmetics (ONCE IT IT IS FIXED). Or allow a small window after fix for everyone to save cosmetics to the ship for free. Before I knew about the issue, i did not know what was going on and tried to save my items at least three times. And once in between to check and see if it was patched. Quite frustrating.

What I want to see from the true finale of this mystery, is that we rescue DeMarco within the sea of the damned, but he stays there to run a revamped version of arena mode, which takes place in a semi-randomized version of the Sea of Thieves made from DeMarco's memories.

Thing is, the Brethren can't have been the ones to bring the Queen back because Demarco was killed before they could build their scepter...hell, it's half of Amaranta's reason for joining them. And the Queen doesn't seem to be a phantom like all the other dead souls to escape the Sea of the Damned, so that doesn't really work either. By all accounts, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Personally this just proves how powerful the siren queen is and all the on land stuff was performed by other members of the dark brethren which explains that part but the scene where they reveal their ability to travel between worlds was also staged in the fact that the wielder waited for us to arrive before jumping to the sea of the damned. All the while screaming so everyone on the sea of thieves could hear "I didn't do it!!" Well played dark brethren.

The biggest issue this game has had since day one is not having all of this stuff in the game first thing, and gradually making your way story quests towards all these things. So bad that we get grinding repetitive missions and getting timed story missions that aren’t long or interesting except for a 10% of the lore

What if there is a big bad "Moriarty" like character and we arw only seeing the pawns moving on the board. I don't know, something doesn't add up. It just seems like the ending was too good to be true. I figured that the Sirens had something to do with this because this came about the same day as the Siren's Prize adventure but something just seems off about this whole ordeal. While I get that the Dark Bretheren could have helped (although I doubt it) but what if the Pirate Lord did actually have something to do with it? We see that the Pirate Lord is really powerful, able to tear apart the shroud like we see in the Maiden Voyage and even into the sea of the Damned like we saw in a Hunter's Cry. He seemed to have killed the Siren Queen pretty easily despite her being able to swim pretty quickly so she could have moved out the way or even used a siren scream to destroy the rocks if she wanted. The ending seemed to *heroic* to be trustworthy. What if it was just a show? What if the Pirate Lord does want us to believe in what we saw? We were told in the mystery by Lasedi to not trust what we see, however, has anyone asked how or when she left the message? She never says anything about it as far as I know so how can we trust she left the message? What if it was a fake one left by the Pirate Lord? Technically that revela was for the player not the player's character so our character might not know about the lantern being fake plus, who turned it off? We never went to anyone to turn it off so who turned it off? We see that the letters, the journal books, etc are spirit-world-like but I doubt the queen could do that. So, what if this adventure wasn't to prove that the Pirate Lord is innocent? What if it was just another beginning to another mystery still revolving around his son's death?

Also, for Lasedi, while it might not make sense why the Pirate Lord would have put her in a Siren statue and saved her just to proclaim his innocence it would in fact make sense. We know that Ramsey (the Pirate Lord) has a deal with the Mer and that he tried to do the same with the Sirens but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to put someone in a statue. We see that he has a pretty good understanding of the magic of the SoT but what if he also knows how to make those statues? This whole event could either be a way to make peace with the Sirens (I am unsure how) or something bigger. What? I am unsure kf but something bigger than what we're led to believe.

Why doesn't he just have an army of revenants or phantoms of his own for larger scale conflicts? Would he even need that? Why is Flameheart, or anyone for that matter, a threat to the way Ramsay wants the Sea of Thieves to be? How?! Also this "mystery" sucked and I really hope Rare, should they do another one, keep it all in game next go around. Went from the most interested I've been in the game to wildly indifferent once the Twitter benchmarks came into play.

The mystery sucked, the way they did it was awful, the stakes were low, 4 months of clues were just erased for no good reason, the Siren Queen had NO build up, and the whole thing concluded with a cutscene where the status quo is restored by the pirate lord. Some slow rocks "kill" the siren queen again, and we get 10 doubloons. Absolute trash

i think this whole sea of the dammed thing is starting to be a detriment, as when seeing the queen alive it now just means every villen every will never die and its pointless, ok we killed her and she came back, now the pirate lord killed her AND.....she can just use wrathbone's head or the ferry man or however flameheart spawns things in to come back over and over and over and over, with that being the case who is to say she is not going to be the "final boss" of the next mystery or hell seems its now a maguffin why not bring anyone back brigys maybe or the strongest skeleton lord Girpper as death means nothing, so even if we kill Jr or flameheart its going to be a "damm we killed jr I bet its going to be hard for flameheart to work now his figurehead is dead" "actually sir its super easy bearly a inconvenience" "Oh Really" "yer so once he dies he can just go the ghost zone for a while and then come back" I fell going forward we really need to nerf the sea of the dammed story wise as it just means and thing can happen and anyone can come back just because

question what if the siren queen can change form? That could explain how she spread the false information and frankly the reason why she did it is actually pretty smart, cause a war between the pirates with some wanting the pirate lord punished and some trying to defend him. But ultimately yeah that is a stupid way to end the mystery I mean hell I would have found it better if it turned out to be Captain brigsy doing it to make a deal with the dark brethern as a means to try and bring herself back from the skelly curse and I mean, Hell it would work out since one of her main colours is red linking to the flame colour and hell she could literally walk the seas depths to get from place to place therefore being as sneaky as possible.
