The game does give you the choice to enable spindash, as well other moves like the drop dash, insta shield, and super peel out But most players already beat the game like that, so I decided to up the challenge and go at it without those extra abilities 👍👍

kinda disappointing to see the amount of restarts done just to get the good version of the stage at the start of the level. or that screw up in spring yard 3. the restart doesn't even take off lives so not only are we trivializing the mechanic of the demon world staying in stage transitions, but your trivializing yourself with the removal of the lives gimmick. the game is already easier than the rom hack its based on with allowing you to finish stages in the demon world and allowing you to escape exe, so its just disappointing to see that the amount of restarts were used

@rpzamer1218 Valid criticism, thanks for the input! Like I stated in the description, a lot of the time I'm forced to restart because it's a doomed run. There typically aren't a lot of monitors at the start of the level, leaving me vulnerable to Sonic.exe's attacks. Even if I had carried on after dying, my life count would've quickly depleted. (Trust I tried and I couldn't make it very far lmao). In the end I only restart sparingly. Spring Yard Zone Act 3 I was only at the start of the level so it was inoffensive to restart, since I only made a minor screw up. But aside from that I only restarted at the start of the level just to make the run more possible. I don't restart when I've made a lot of progress in a level. For example in Star Light Zone Act 2 I was about to restart knowing I'd messed up, but seing Sonic.exe about to get me I figured I'd let him, thus costing me a life. It would definitely be cheesing the run if I just restarted everytime before Sonic.exe kills me. At that point I'd just play with infinite lives lmao Either way the developer said that his AI will be less difficult in the next release, so if I do cover it I'll probably not restart at all 👍
