The battle with man-eater was very well done, the animation and choreography was very clean. Yes, they are lot of moving parts in this narrative, it can be a bit overwhelming😂😅. But will all come to gather nicely. Trust and believe.

So Dani, I've seen articles and pages that use she/her, and they/them pronouns to describe Kiruko. Kiruko will go into more detail and depth about their situation as the series progress. I also can't wait for you ladies to learn more about Maru. I think by the end of the season your going to adore him. Like I do.

I've noticed that the school location is within a dome-like structure instead of a massive encircled wall. Its interesting that Dani mentioned the drawings are reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda because that bird-like man eater monster looked alot like the Twilit Kagarok, bird type, enemies from TLOZ Twilight Princess

Oh we'll see how much really goes over ya'lls heads. Finding the truth is the big truth here. For me personally, by this episode I just knew I was in for a ride. From all the mysteries looming over the horizon, to the top-notch anime production, to how unforgiving everything seems to be and how graphic it can all be (like how that inn-keeper woman literally got cut up to pieces on full display). This anime ain't fuckin' around. Also, Production I.G. is indeed an animation studio. They been around for a while. They did Kaiju no.8 and Haikyuu, or for older examples, they did Ghost in the Shell (movies and series) and Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade. They do a good mix of series and films and they're some of the best for as along as they've been around.

This show is a psychological, Sci fi, drama, action, mystery bomb. Whatever you're "experiencing" now, it will only intensify Every episode just leads to more questions. Once you think something is answered, a new something you didn't even consider is revealed As for the trans character, when I originally watched this last year I was kind of bummed. I just didn't want the show to get derailed or bogged down with "politics". But after having finished it, I have to say, that character's backstory is exceptionally well done
