I love going to Morehead City. I don't go for the fishing, I go for the diving. When my new boat is ready in August we plan on spending a week at Morehead City scuba diving. I cannot wait to see the video on what you hit. I don't want to do the same thing. Good luck and enjoy your adventure and thanks for sharing. David

We had a lot of fun in Morhead this time around. The first time there we did not venture far enough away from the marina to find all the cool restaurants, etc.

Ouch, hard on the boat. Sometimes it's hard to see under your keel. Maybe a submerged log in the channel. Happy sailing.

You need new wipers! But try Rainx first. Wipers probably dried and cracked. Rainx will help. New wipers would be better.

Trying Not To Sink will be watching for that video for sure. I’ve never viewed my hometown in this manner and should be very interesting. Someday I hope to make a trip up the Mississippi River to where you can cross over and come back via ICW/Atlantic Coast to Florida and on to Louisiana and Mississippi River to Baton Rouge. Will be a long trip but one with a lot historical stops along the way. Love your videos!

It is actually the motor on the wipers making the noise. We oil it from time to time and it quiets up.

You guys. Were smart. Doing that leg in daylight. I. Did. Have. To. Anchor. In the night in that. Eastern area. An it was. A sleepless , stressful. Night. As i had read nightmares. About. The shrimp boats Running. In the. Dark with their nets. Deployed. And the. Operators. Asleep. At the helm. In years past they were. Known to de mast. Sailboats. And. Run aground. ? The. Time. I. Anchored. There. It was a. Very stormy/ windy. Night An the current. Ripped. Through. That. Area. It. Looked like a well. Protected. Anchorage. On the. GPS. But. It. Was not we. Set. Double. Anchors. And a. GPS Alarm. As there. Was a. Old. Dock. And broken off pilings. We. Decided. We didn’t want. To. Smash. Into. And risk. Serious damage to the hull btw. That nite we. Were. Getting. 45. Knot. Blows. On us. And our anchors. Held. An worked their asses off. During the. Night it was a bitch. Retrieving. Them at daylight although we did. Observe and photograph. One of the. Biggest. Schools of. Porpoise Dolphins. Surfing our bow. Wakes. When we. Did get under. Way. Making. The new day. A enjoyable. Experience. On the water Although. Reports. Of. A. Large. Sport Fisherman. Running aground ripping his shafts out. And. Sinking. In. 5 or 6 feet. Of water reminded us. That. Boating. Is still. Dangerous , the occupants. Of the. Boat. Were. Safe and Coast Guard. Responded. Quickly. With. Only a reported. Broken. Arm. And/ light bruises and scratches and the. Boat. Was. Towed. Somewhere. For repairs ? We. Got all that info via. VHF radio on board. The boat was a. Husband. And wife. And the. Operator. Had previous. Accidents. In the. Same. Area with. His wife. Onboard. ?

living between 2 draw brigdes i have to say you guys are my pet peeves...stay way too far from bridge you make the opening last 3 times longer than it should bc it takes you so long to get through! we start heading soon as we see action on the gates of the bridge and are through qquick so it can go right back down and clear the traffic
@tryingnottosink91076 жыл бұрын
We do the same thing. It is just not apparent from the video. If I have a long wait I stay back and get close when the bells start ringing. We are very conscious of the people waiting for us on the roads.
@JCrook10285 жыл бұрын
I guess Super didn't notice the two boats going the other way at the same time. Triton did not cause anyone to wait.

I would suggest you learn the phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie etc.) so you don’t have to spell your name 3 times. It’s pretty much a requirement of being a captain at sea. Not just for bridges like these, but also in case of emergency or accidents. A tip from the coach is having it written down or printed out so others who don’t know it in their heads can use it if they have to. Also write down your specific boats name so you or others don’t have to think about it. In your case your name is Tango, Romeo, India, Tango, Oscar, November. I love all your videos though! Keep it up!
@tryingnottosink91076 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the great idea. It does not come up often but when it does I can never remember the alphabet.

Yea but saying simply 10-4 with no other information leads to confusion. Fact is the bridge Operator was not giving proper responses.
